Currently a Bad Value
Not the course we used to know. Staff was great inside and out. The course itself was horrible 85-90% dirt everywhere, non-existent fairways. Foothills in bad shape that will take a miracle to fix this summer. This is currently a $25 course at most.
Terrible course conditions
We played here yesterday, and the fairways were atrocious, no grass they were dirt. One of the worst courses that I’ve played in the last two years as far as conditions. The course layout is great and I’ve played this course for the last 20+ years. They need to do something. I don’t know if they don’t have water for their fairways. But it was really bad. Greens were fine, but pretty slow. And pace a play was a little slow as well. But I won’t be back here again until they figure out on how to actually have grass in their fairways.
Foothills
Course were in terrible conditions with the exception of the greens.
Course conditions were abysmal. Punched fairways and one thing, but tractor ruts are another.
Really like the layout and the value, but the course conditions made it hard to appreciate the other aspects of the course. I'll likely give it another go later in the year. But I.the meantt there are are other, better options.
Nice Layout
Interesting course. Scenic setting. Staff very welcoming. Greens in good shape with moderate pace likely due to being protected from heat. Fairways a bit burned out in spots also due to heat. Others I played with said in much better condition just a few weeks ago. Had very enjoyable afternoon- will be back.
Remembered this course from having played it over 30 years ago when visiting from OH. Phoenix- now will come up occasionally now living in Tucson.
Used to be a good course
First review on this app. Loved this course- nice layout, friendly staff, and good conditions for a fair price. That has all changed. Talking with the group I was playing with ownership changed not too long ago. There is no grass in the fairways- you’re better playing out of the rough. Only positive is the greens which are slow. Hit the bunker a few times and was moving full blown rocks out of the bunkers. Really disappointed will not be coming back.
Friendly staff
First time here and the staff was friendly and gave great service. The course was in okay condition. The carts are pretty nice, came stocked with washcloths, cooler with ice, and tees.
Fairways were dry, bare spots thru out and some spots were muddy. They fixed the greens but neglected the fairways
Thanks for your feedback. Yes, it is transition time. And with the hot weather in March it started earlier than normal. As everyone knows, water quality in the valley is always a challenge. To combat this our owner has committed even more capital to augment our irrigation system. We will be installing a new fertigation system that will drastically reduce salt content, add oxygen and nutrients to the soil. We will be treating the fairways and roughs starting Monday and improvements happen quickly with this system. Now for the greens, since they are brand new and were not overseeded, they are looking great and the new bermuda is healthy. There are a few rough patches on the collars of 3 of the greens but everything else is great. Is everything perfect? We could always be better and with a committed ownership group we will get there. It takes time to bring back a neglected course but rest assured we will get there. Thanks for your time.

disappointed
Been playing for years. First time back since the renovations and I should get my moneyback. Fairways could not have been worse. Never going back.

Poor Conditions
Every fairway was dried out but the greens were in pretty good shape.

Not in good shape
This course has been in really good shape, until now. Lots of dead grass in fairways and sand traps are hard and not well-maintained.

Meh
Played in less than 4hrs. I think it was a little overpriced for the condition it’s in although the greens are on the firm side, healthy and roll good. Sand isn’t maintained well and nobody seems to rake them after playing out of them. A lot of dry spots on the fairway but turf still reacts fine to hit off of for the most part. Not real pretty.
