About
Foothills Golf Club offers 18 holes of golf on a golf course designed by Jay Morrish and Tom Weiskopf and built in 1988. The par-72 golf course measures 6,901 yards. Foothills Golf Club sits among the South Mountains, and features a contrast of challenge and forgiveness on a links-style course that allows golfers to play a target layout that has more than 65 bunkers that daunt, fairways that roll and desert that has a lot of rocks. The fabulous championship golf course provides the locale for all levels of golfer to shoot a memorable day of golf.
After taking in the views of the South Mountains on the Foothills Golf Club's golf course, head back to the clubhouse, for wonderful vistas of the course and the Estrella Mountain Range.

Foothills
A challenging but fair layout. Price was great for this time of year. Staff were very informative and professional. One of the best courses in the valley for price and conditions.
Good test
Course was a good test fron blue tees with several elevation changes. greens were lightly top dressed but putted fine. bunkers have very heavy dense sand so a good challenge
Nice surprise
I’m a 5 handicap and 60+ so my expectations were hopeful that it wasn’t a dog track. Was nicely surprised how nice the course played. Fairways were nice and green and greens were hard and firm. Only small complaint was the greens had just been aerated and top dressed so they were pretty bumpy. Other than that it was good value for the money. Wouldn’t hesitate going back.
Greens going bad again
Unfortunately, the greens are starting to go bad again like the last couple years. Bare spots with sand and green paint or seed does not hide it. Also they plugged several of the greens and still charged full price . No other course I've been to recently would plug at this time of year.

Worth the money
Beautiful course, fairways are thick and healthy, greens are fast and amazing, views are Beautiful, pull up staff took our clubs out of the car loaded it into the cart, golf cart had tees towels GPS and very comfortable, free range balls has a chipping green and two putting greens, cart girls are very good looking and showed up 7 times Id say so man best course ive played in the valley so far
Fairways were really nice and the course has beautiful views. Only problem was the greens because they were very hard and a little bit beat up but overall not that bad. The Staff was very friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely come back when the price drops a little bit.
Beautiful Setting
The course was challenging for me but it has some beautiful scenery that distracted me from my frustration.
Foothills Fun
The Foothills is a great course in Ahwatukee. The views are wonderful. Needs more evening happy hour after golf atmosphere to enjoy sunset on patio with drinks food and entertainment etc.
Greens
All the reviews I've read said greens firm but putt true They are firm, however they don't putt true. Lots of places on greens that overseed didn't come in. Hence, you're putting on some overseed and some dormant bermuda Not a good putting surface. Tees and fairways OK.
