Its cheap golf, dont expect much
Not going to lie. The course is very rough. Some of the greens are very patchy and have bare/dirt spots. But honestly, if you're coming here expecting to have the best conditions, you are not being realistic.
If you are a weekend hack just looking to get out and get some practice. This is not a bad course. For 18 holes with a cart, you can't beat the price, but again the course is in very rough shape.
You get what you pay for
It is priced appropriately as the course is not well maintained. The best part of the. Course are the greens, but they are very very slow. Fairways and cart paths are in poor condition.
Don’t think I will return even though I was 1 over for the day.
We need more courses like Paradise Valley
While this course doesn’t get great ratings, I still think we need more courses like this, affordable, easy to play in a short amount of time. It’s not a TOC Scottsdale, Raven, Eagle Mountain or Troon, but it’s still fun.
One word of caution though, don’t play your best golf balls, I lost a few in the deep grass that sits near some fairways and greens.
The layout is decent with a lot of par 3’s, a few par 4’s and one par 5.
Some players complain about the conditions or the layout, but it’s like $20 to play here, what do expect?
I will definitely come back and play, it cost close to, or less than some ranges, and I’d rather play golf that hit balls.
Wow not in a good way
Horrible ,, trees downed laying all over, limbs and branches all over, massive amount of ants all over, no cut grass, grass high as your knees in some areas .. really appears as nobody is taking care of course or cares how it looks
Poor poor
Course was trashy and overgrown.
“Ridiculous!
Even telephone system was out of service.
Paradise Valley
Pro Shop representative very professional, friendly and welcoming. Makes it a pleasure to play here.
Fun course, excellent staff
I have played this course many times. I always meet fun friendly people. Not as challenging as some of the desert courses, not as frustrating either, and still a good place to play the game we all love. The price is hard to beat. The front desk is always accommodating with some of the nicest folk you hope to meet. Thanks to all who make it possible.
Golf Course Needs to be Shut Down
The last time I played this course was about 4 years ago. Back then, it was barely acceptable as far as maintenance. Now it looks like the management gave up maintaining the course. Fairways and tee boxes have not been cut at all. The greens are long and shaggy. Long weeds are everywhere. Most of fairways are bare dirt. Restrooms on course, benches, signage, etc. have not been maintained in years. This is a Maricopa County owned course with a private operator. The operator must be losing money and just gave up maintaining course. The county needs to cancel his contract for non performance and take over the course with maintenance by the county. Great location and pretty descent layout for a golf course. Just a shame that they really let it go. Maybe the are going to shut it down soon and the operator just gave up. Very sad. It is not worth paying anything to play there.
Front desk person (Victor)...rude! He's usually not real friendly when he's there. But today, rude.
