Camelback Golf Club - Ambiente Course

Courses in awesome shape…!! would recommend it to anybody…!

This was the second time playing the course and I still think it worth the money (especially if, like yesterday, a Hot Deal is available).

The course is challenging, especially if you battle a slice, but fair. The course condition is excellent on the tees, fairways and greens.

The minor downsides to yesterday’s game were:

1. The driving range unfortunately closed temporarily just before I arrived but the putting greens were open

2. My bidder issue, on a hot, high 90’s day, the beverage cart only came around once.

3. I do not understand why additional (free) bottles of water are not available until you reach the 15th hole. Why not make them available on the front 9 or at the turn? It is great to get bottles provided at the start but, please, also make them available prior the 15th and 16th holes.

We enjoyed the course and tge staff was efficient.

We enjoyed playing Camelback. The course was beautiful, the staff was friendly! We had breakfast in the restaurant that was delicious!

The staff are all exceptional. The layout allows players of all levels to enjoy their round. Pace of play was terrific the day I played. One of the very best experiences I have had in the Phoenix area

Surprised to see NO grass on the practice tee. Usually one of the better amenities, but certainly not yesterday.

Love this course. But for the price it would get 5 stars

T offs were pristine, greens hard but playable. Rough is long and challenging

Played Ambiente on a Sunday afternoon as a 3-some. Pace of play was great right at 4 hours which I can't ask for more than that. I enjoyed the layout and the views and the proximity to where I am staying near Fashion Mall. The condition left a little bit to be desired... greens were much slower than expected and inconsistent. Also, there was crabgrass-type stuff growing around the 1-2 feet perimeter of most bunkers. All-in with fees I paid under $200 at peak season and on a weekend so I'll live with that anytime, but at the full price $350-400 it would have been a little more disappointing to see. Assuming they fix these conditions, this course would be one of my favorites in the area.

Interesting layout for those of us who play in the US. But All in all a fun layout.

Biggest criticism is that the greens are very hard and therefore cannot hold a shot except from close or one you can spin.

Played in 4 hours even though the back 9 played a little slow but the Marshall was around to make sure people moved along.
