About
Camelback Golf Club features two courses, Padre and Ambiente (formerly known as Indian Bend Course). The Ambiente Course underwent a major renovation in 2013. Making the course more eco friendly was one of the major goals of the renovation in addition to improving the layout's playability for a wider range of skill levels. The creatively shaped greens offer a variety of different putting options that present interesting risk-reward opportunities. The renovation added 100 acres of native desert and grass areas that add not only beauty but also require a third less water. Rolling terrain is the defining characteristic of the Ambiente Course, from the undulating fairways to dramatic drops in elevation. There are five sets of tees with forward tees that have easier approach angles and no forced carried, allowing even beginners to approach the golf course with confidence.

Camelback Ambiente
I really enjoyed the layout and variety of shots. I was skeptical when the starter mentioned 'links', but it does have some of that style to it. Stay on the fairway and you can score.
Beautiful Course But Challenging
Staff outstanding from the time you arrive until when you are leaving. Had not played here before and should have played from tan instead of green. Course is very difficult. However, the scenery and conditions of the course were unbelievable, so it took some of the sting out.
Beautiful Course
The Ambiente Course at Camelback Golf Club is an awesome course that is in great condition. From tee to green the grass is in great shape. The greens roll fast and true. It is a links style course and if you hit it off the grass you will pay, but if you keep it in play it is a very fair course that you can make a good score. There are plenty of bunkers so course management is important. Love the course and plan to play it again sometime.
Beautiful Course
The course today was in great shape. The greens were fast, but firm. The fairways were lush. The bunkers were nice as well. Sure wish I would've played better, but that's golf. The only disappointing thing was they had no water bucket to wet your towel. And they didn't have ball or club washers on their carts. Other than that, everything was great.
Fun time on an empty course
My only negative was that because of recent rains the driving range was closed. Considering how we it has been the course was quite dry, no roll of course but not sloppy we either. This is a top of the line course and because of my membership with golfpass this was one of my complimentary rounds. So beautiful, manicured and tremendous views. A very hard course for a golfer of my skill but I enjoyed every hole.
Great conditions
Played after a ton of rain the day before but the tees and fairways were very good. The greens were perfect. Always a fun course to play. The staff isn’t very friendly though.
Pristine
The first word that came to mind was pristine. The greens are the best I’ve seen. The fescue or off the fairway stuff is overly punitive, but overall awesome experience.
