About
Camelback Golf Club features two courses, Padre and Ambiente (formerly known as Indian Bend Course). The Ambiente Course underwent a major renovation in 2013. Making the course more eco friendly was one of the major goals of the renovation in addition to improving the layout's playability for a wider range of skill levels. The creatively shaped greens offer a variety of different putting options that present interesting risk-reward opportunities. The renovation added 100 acres of native desert and grass areas that add not only beauty but also require a third less water. Rolling terrain is the defining characteristic of the Ambiente Course, from the undulating fairways to dramatic drops in elevation. There are five sets of tees with forward tees that have easier approach angles and no forced carried, allowing even beginners to approach the golf course with confidence.

Out and back layout
Nice course in good shape. Friendly staff. Interesting out and back layout with dry wash mainly on right side. Probably a long day if you are slicing.
Fun challenge
We were blessed to play with Jay and Oz. Fun round. Pace of play was perfect. Greens were fast but not glass. Fairways were very green. Best to keep it in the middle

Great day of golf from start to finish. Thanks again to members Mark and Sally for making it a really enjoyable experience.
Good Value
Played this course just after they reopened after the winter over seeding. Fairways were lush and hadn't been cut. They looked nice, but the course played a lot longer than normal since there was no roll out. Greens were in good shape and fast even with some remaining sand. I would love to play this course again under normal conditions, but we still had fun.
A must play
Course in beautiful shape.. 3 hour round after passing an elderly group.. #18 with waterfall is gorgeous.. wide open, good for average players. Would play again..
Fun in the desert
Lots of grass, few trees, bunkers yes.. lush green fairways.. challenged but not impossible.. 3 hour round. Perfect
Stay left
despite that the entire golf course forces you to play left as off to the right is dead and almost every hole it's still an interesting and challenging layout and lot of fun
Excellent condition for the summer
The greens and fairways are in excellent condition.
Legacy Free round from Golf Now
Finally using up some legacy free rounds (Mon-Thurs after 12 noon only)- Naturally very few players on the course that time of day so pace of play was excellent- Course was in great shape and there are plenty of water stations. Beverage cart found me 4 times to make sure I was okay- Outside service staff (Jack) was awesome- Inside pro shop staff could use a little more customer service training or he was simply having a bad day
Great lay out, fun course with great greens
No complaints. Even tee boxes, grass in the fairways, and nicely cut greens. Few bunkers got in the way a couple times but it was all good. Must play if you live here. Little gem up by Camelback
Greens are magnificent
Yes folks there are a few courses in AZ with good greens and this is one of them. Right now they are smooth and perfectly trimmed. The entire course was similar minus the sand (they need more of it and if they had actual sand it (not AZ golf course dirt/sand combo!) may help!
Right now it’s reasonably priced so go get a round in. Prepare for a hot day though as the course provides little in the way of shady greens/tee boxes. Hit em straight!h
