Camelback Golf Club features two courses, Padre and Ambiente (formerly known as Indian Bend Course). The Ambiente Course underwent a major renovation in 2013. Making the course more eco friendly was one of the major goals of the renovation in addition to improving the layout's playability for a wider range of skill levels. The creatively shaped greens offer a variety of different putting options that present interesting risk-reward opportunities. The renovation added 100 acres of native desert and grass areas that add not only beauty but also require a third less water. Rolling terrain is the defining characteristic of the Ambiente Course, from the undulating fairways to dramatic drops in elevation. There are five sets of tees with forward tees that have easier approach angles and no forced carried, allowing even beginners to approach the golf course with confidence.

Fun Layout

This was my first time in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area playing golf. Stumbled upon this course on our trip. It had a lot of fun target shots with some risk/reward carry’s off the tee. Greens were firm and fast and the staff was awesome all the way around. Would recommend to anyone.

Nice layout and great course conditions. It's a bonus it's off the cart path already and it's in the heart of Scottsdale which is very convenient

Good Value

Played this course just after they reopened after the winter over seeding. Fairways were lush and hadn't been cut. They looked nice, but the course played a lot longer than normal since there was no roll out. Greens were in good shape and fast even with some remaining sand. I would love to play this course again under normal conditions, but we still had fun.
