Highly recommended course in good condition Staff was great and the playing conditions were nice just two weeks after overseed

we loved this new version , no trees generous fairways yet challenging more so with car path only what made the pace of play slower, for whatever reason our bushnell GPS watch was not able to find this Ambiente GC, the cart GPS was nice but walking the course watch can be very useful , overall we had a good time golfing

the course was "redone" 2years ago. tons of trees taken out and a poor attempt at Links golf instead. the rough is nothing but tons and tons of weeds and it was very disappointing that nothing was fixed over the summer. if I was paying $100 plus to look at mud, weeds, no chance at all of finding any ball that even goes a few inches off fairway then you will like this course.

Greens and fairways excellent. Links attempt failed, heather is just weeds and dirt.

This renovated course is a joy to play. They have done a great job of creating a challenging links style course in the desert. The day we played was cart path only due to recent overseeing. This made for a good deal of walking on a warm afternoon. Otherwise, outstanding.

Greens in great shape, especially for being so soon after the overseeding. It's fairly narrow, and everything is either mowed to fairway height or ankle deep. If you're a couple feet off the fairway you're unlikely to find it. Overall grade A-

The entire staff at Camelback is the best, friendly and welcoming. The Ambiente course is a fun track with a nice variety of holes. If you hit the ball solid and straight, it's not too difficult. The greens are excellent for putting but don't hold iron shots well yet. There are some deep traps that are best avoided. I really enjoy the Ambiente and plan to play it again soon.

As we played I found out that the course just opened in February. I was pleasantly surprised how well everything had grown in. Considering the flooding that occurred earlier this month the course held up nicely.
The only complaint I have is the fee they wanted to charge for my wife to ride along. They were not that busy in the afternoon but they wanted $35 for her to come. Since the temps topped 95 she would have melted so it became moot.

Very nice golf course, I played from the back tees, very challenging. The 18th hole need a little work, I hit a great drive & it didn't make it to the fairway. You shouldn't be required to carry it 280 to get to the soft fairway

A nice change. A great course with lots of variation and challenges.

Good little track. I found the GPS to be off a little but that's not a big deal. If you can play with a local, it will help on a few holes. Course was in great shape considering they just had record rainfall 4 days earlier. Pace was slower than I'm used to, right at 5 hours. Fun course, a must play.

I understand they spent $10MM recently on this course. Not too sure where they put the money. For the price, even for summer rates, I would have rather gone to many of the other course options around Scottsdale. Felt the course was a simple upgrade from other public courses. I was not impressed.

Course was so hard you couldn't put a tee in the ground.

We enjoyed the course as it has a nice mix of holes long and short. All three of us are single digit Hdcp. I believe that with the higher handicappers playing in the winter, play will slow down dramatically with people looking for balls in the "Native Grass". The use of the GPS is critical to managing the course.

Ambiente is the jewel of central Phoenix! you will use just about every club in your bag..requires precise drives and approach shots..bogeys are easy if you stay in the fairways ! get in the traps or native grass and a double bogey is very possible. The condition of the course is hard to believe for Aug/ Sept in the valley.. greens are fast and true ,fairways lush ..

Played Ambiente course. The course in good condition;greens firm rolls smooth, fairways good, tee's box need cutting. AWFUL PACE OF PLAY. COURSE MARSHAL were USELESS! !! AFRAID TO MOVE SLOOOOOWWWW GROUP.

interesting changes made to this course. very challenging off the tee box with lots of fairway traps and grasses. Accuracy is important. If u like unusual courses in AZ u need to play this one
