Camelback Golf Club - Ambiente Course

Great course in really good shape with lightning fast greens , 6 three putts on the back 9 , wrecked my scorecard . Fairways were in fantastic condition

The course was in great condition. Challenging layout, but very fair with ample landing areas. Fast greens that were very accurate. Enjoyed the experience. The only complaint is there was no ranger to keep the pace of play moving.

Have played this course a few times since it reopened after being renovated and it is wonderful. Really great shape of fairways, rough, traps and greens. Don't miss the fairway or first cut or your ball is gone.
Mostly want to say that they were super accommodating when one of our players was late due to a flight delay as they sent him out to us on the 10th hole when he arrived with no qualms. This is a course that does not have a "turn" so it was a long drive. Fun course to play, but it will test you.

I had played this course when it was Indian Bend. The makeover is a great improvement. The bunkers are formidable but it lacks ambience.

Some of the smoothest fast greens I have played on.
Fairways are just a little thin.
Carts shut down often when they think you get too close to the greens without any warning.
Links style with ample fairway width, very playable

The golf course was phenomenal and in phenomenal shape. The renovation last year was a huge success. Will be playing again

overall very nice, good layout, and the greens are outstanding ... pure, true and very fast. great value since the renovation. decent for walking but some really long gaps through tunnels crossing the roads (all comment are about the ambiente course)

Lovely course; enjoyable layout, beautiful surroundings. You need a combo of smart play and some long drives!

Great course, looks like Whistling, Bandon, and other neo-links style courses. You really forget you're playing in the desert. The tiff grass on the greens are phenomenal, balls rolls true and they are fast, which I love. It's better than many of the private courses in Phoenix. Just a great looking lady, so to speak.

Played this course in early November - conditions were poor but may be due to overseeding - course layout is fairly boring - I would not recommend this course with so many other options in the area.

Highly recommended course in good condition Staff was great and the playing conditions were nice just two weeks after overseed

we loved this new version , no trees generous fairways yet challenging more so with car path only what made the pace of play slower, for whatever reason our bushnell GPS watch was not able to find this Ambiente GC, the cart GPS was nice but walking the course watch can be very useful , overall we had a good time golfing

the course was "redone" 2years ago. tons of trees taken out and a poor attempt at Links golf instead. the rough is nothing but tons and tons of weeds and it was very disappointing that nothing was fixed over the summer. if I was paying $100 plus to look at mud, weeds, no chance at all of finding any ball that even goes a few inches off fairway then you will like this course.

Greens and fairways excellent. Links attempt failed, heather is just weeds and dirt.

This renovated course is a joy to play. They have done a great job of creating a challenging links style course in the desert. The day we played was cart path only due to recent overseeing. This made for a good deal of walking on a warm afternoon. Otherwise, outstanding.

Greens in great shape, especially for being so soon after the overseeding. It's fairly narrow, and everything is either mowed to fairway height or ankle deep. If you're a couple feet off the fairway you're unlikely to find it. Overall grade A-

The entire staff at Camelback is the best, friendly and welcoming. The Ambiente course is a fun track with a nice variety of holes. If you hit the ball solid and straight, it's not too difficult. The greens are excellent for putting but don't hold iron shots well yet. There are some deep traps that are best avoided. I really enjoy the Ambiente and plan to play it again soon.
