About
McCormick Ranch Golf Club features two lush manicured year-round courses amid the lovely views of Scottsdale. Both the Palm and Pine golf courses' championship tees lay to over 7,000 yards, and there are also the options of men's, seniors' and ladies' tee sets to allow everyone a crack at the tests offered by these golf courses.
Golf Illustrated selected the ninth hole of the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club to be "One of the USA's Top 18 Water Holes." It's just one of 10 water holes on the golf course, which, as you might imagine, also features lots of big palms. In all, the golf course plays to over yards from the blue tees, including four par-5 holes that measure over 500 yards.
A round of golf on the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which plays close to 400 yards from the blue tee and requires a drive right-center to ensure a short-iron second shot.

Average course
Paid too much for just an average course. Not bad but have paid half as much to play similar courses in Phoenix
Unmet expectations
Played another Phoenix area course yesterday after a pretty good weather front rolled thru. Conditions were heads and shoulders above this layout. Very disappointed with thin fairways even thinner dormant first cut areas and traps were hard as a wedding night svantz
Check around for same price you will do better.
Bad Customer Service
Very disappointed and frustrated with our experience. I brought 8 gentlemen to this course to play and we all paid ($86 each) right before we had to tee off at 1:20pm it started to hail and thunderstorm for an hour so we didn't even step on the golf course...and the course was not in playable condition...we asked to get at a minimum a rain check from the clubhouse. Staff was not friendly and non negotiable. We all are from MN and come multiple times a year to play many different courses and will never be back to McCormick Ranch. Bad customer service and horrible experience!
Kind of pricey
The value of the course did not mech what we paid. The course was nice, but not for what we paid.
The course design was simple, boring. Greens in great shape but did not make up for a generally uneventful design.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Course was dull and lacked any imagination. Don't understand how we can see a beverage cart on 4 and 7 and then do not see a cart the rest of the day. This is the peak of snow birds in AZ and the course has maybe one beverage cart for 36 holes. Very disappointing. Most people playing this time of year are not that serious from a golfing perspective but out to be social and to relax ---- a beverage cart certainly helps this happen. It will be a long long time before I would play here again.
Great pace of play
Playable. Lots of water, but also lots of bail out area. Never intimidating. Challenging enough but also can score.
Poor conditions
As usual McCormick Ranch was a disappointment once Christmas was finished. The rates go up and the conditions deteriorate. I will wait until they water the entire course once again before I come back. Save your money and play elsewhere.
Goat track
Pace of play was ridiculous and no marshal to be seen. The sand traps are hard pan dirt. Just not worth the money.
If someone was inclined to do so this could be a nice course.
