McCormick Ranch Golf Club features two lush manicured year-round courses amid the lovely views of Scottsdale. Both the Palm and Pine golf courses' championship tees lay to over 7,000 yards, and there are also the options of men's, seniors' and ladies' tee sets to allow everyone a crack at the tests offered by these golf courses.
Golf Illustrated selected the ninth hole of the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club to be "One of the USA's Top 18 Water Holes." It's just one of 10 water holes on the golf course, which, as you might imagine, also features lots of big palms. In all, the golf course plays to over yards from the blue tees, including four par-5 holes that measure over 500 yards.
A round of golf on the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which plays close to 400 yards from the blue tee and requires a drive right-center to ensure a short-iron second shot.

The course design was simple, boring. Greens in great shape but did not make up for a generally uneventful design.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Course was dull and lacked any imagination. Don't understand how we can see a beverage cart on 4 and 7 and then do not see a cart the rest of the day. This is the peak of snow birds in AZ and the course has maybe one beverage cart for 36 holes. Very disappointing. Most people playing this time of year are not that serious from a golfing perspective but out to be social and to relax ---- a beverage cart certainly helps this happen. It will be a long long time before I would play here again.
Great pace of play
Playable. Lots of water, but also lots of bail out area. Never intimidating. Challenging enough but also can score.
Poor conditions
As usual McCormick Ranch was a disappointment once Christmas was finished. The rates go up and the conditions deteriorate. I will wait until they water the entire course once again before I come back. Save your money and play elsewhere.
Goat track
Pace of play was ridiculous and no marshal to be seen. The sand traps are hard pan dirt. Just not worth the money.
If someone was inclined to do so this could be a nice course.
McCormick Ranch Outing
Great course. I just discovered this course. It is a great course with well kept tees, fairways, and greens. The staff are super friendly and helpful. Highly recommended for beginner and experienced golfers.
Smells like sewer
Beautiful course and great layout but the fairways were soggy with smelly sewer water. Terrible overall experience.
Palm
Only problem was all the goose poop. Would be nice to have rakes for traps. Traps not in good shape
Goose droppings everywhere, grass needs more watering. Otherwise a good course
Nograss
The Palm course was not in anything that I would call just OVERSEEDED IF ANYTHING THEY NEED TO TRY THAT AGAIN. Your supposed to replace the Bermuda with rye when you overseed, didn’t happen here. Probably won’t be back.
