McCormick Ranch Golf Club features two lush manicured year-round courses amid the lovely views of Scottsdale. Both the Palm and Pine golf courses' championship tees lay to over 7,000 yards, and there are also the options of men's, seniors' and ladies' tee sets to allow everyone a crack at the tests offered by these golf courses.

Golf Illustrated selected the ninth hole of the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club to be "One of the USA's Top 18 Water Holes." It's just one of 10 water holes on the golf course, which, as you might imagine, also features lots of big palms. In all, the golf course plays to over yards from the blue tees, including four par-5 holes that measure over 500 yards.

A round of golf on the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which plays close to 400 yards from the blue tee and requires a drive right-center to ensure a short-iron second shot.

Greens

The greens on Pine rolled true and the ball held the line. My only concern and it has nothing to do with the course. The greens could even be better if golfers would fix their ball marks.

ROUGH SHAPE

other courses in Scottsdale are much better than this.

large area of no grass on fairways, tee boxes shaggy

i think they are late in overseeding. cart path only.

Very nice course

I played early in the morning and was able to finish in 3 hours. Fairways are in good shape. Greens are fine. Water comes into play several times. Course is challenging, but not ridiculous.

Course isn't ready and my range finder disappeared

We played the Palm Course on Friday. Don't bother for another two to four weeks - the grass is way too high on the fairways and the greens after overseeding. In general, the whole place felt like a factory - really busy and nothing special.

Also, we were one of (if not the) last carts to come in. It was dark and I left my range finder on my golf cart. That's on me but there's no way it wouldn't have been found. I called the next day and they said they didn't have one. I get it's on me but I'm pretty disappointed.

Thought the course was nice, people were great,. Only comment is that they make you pay for range balls, even after paying for a round. Would definitely return

Course is average as far as layout and course conditions.Back nine more interesting and challenging than front.Course average at best.

Course is nothing special. Average to above average as far as course layout and overall course conditions. Back nine is more challenging and a better layout than the front (Palm Course). Overall, had a decent round and played in under 4 hours as a foursome.

Not bad

Great course for beginner and intermediate golfers. Forgiving outside of the fairway on most holes. Pretty short from the white tees. 7k from the tips makes it a little more challenging for the single digit handicappers
