McCormick Ranch Golf Club features two lush manicured year-round courses amid the lovely views of Scottsdale. Both the Palm and Pine golf courses' championship tees lay to over 7,000 yards, and there are also the options of men's, seniors' and ladies' tee sets to allow everyone a crack at the tests offered by these golf courses.

Golf Illustrated selected the ninth hole of the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club to be "One of the USA's Top 18 Water Holes." It's just one of 10 water holes on the golf course, which, as you might imagine, also features lots of big palms. In all, the golf course plays to over yards from the blue tees, including four par-5 holes that measure over 500 yards.

A round of golf on the Palm Course at the McCormick Ranch Golf Club kicks off on the par-4 first hole, which plays close to 400 yards from the blue tee and requires a drive right-center to ensure a short-iron second shot.

Both courses are nice.

I've played both the Pine and Palm courses. Both are well maintained and challenging.

Not the best resort course

This course and amenities do not measure up to a “top” resort course. Arrived at course bag drop, no one the to load my clubs onto a cart.

Driving range in poor condition, only thing green were weeds. Course was in fairly decent shape, played front in 1 1/2 hrs, back in 2 1/2 hrs. No Marshall came by to move things along

Water fountains on course shut off, only saw beverage cart girl once.

Disappointing Resort Golf Experience

Doesn't measure up to a top of the line resort course

The course was in far shape, but the amenities were lacking. No one offered to take my clubs from my car, or after I left them it at drop off. Loaded my cart myself.

The driving range conditions were poor, very little grass, and the grass there was, was mostly weeds.

Played the front in under 2 hrs, as a 3 some, but the back was loaded, took 2 1/2 hrs, no marshal moving groups along.

Apples and oranges?

I had a lot of fun and the team was outstanding in how they treated everyone, even some folks who were a bit belligerent at the social distancing guidelines.

Greed on Palm Course were perfect on the front, good on the back.

Maybe I’m comparing too stringently, but when we tried to get a seat right at 2, the restaurant was closed and no food available after 2:00.

Even sandwiches, anything would be fine on the patio or bar, but we were just stuck.

Nice day to play

Golf course is in good condition. There are few tee boxes that need some repairs, but no major thing. Greens are in excellent shape giving a nice steady roll. Able to play under four hours under nice early summer temperature.

Taking into consideration all the restrictions that are in place because of Covid-19 this was a good day, nice staff keeping the social distancing in place.

Will play again.

Nice Scottsdale Course

You can spend $40/$50 a round at a municipal course of spend a little more for some awesome greens, and amazing fairways. Course was just as solid as more expensive courses in the valley. I live 10 minutes from the course and will be back soon!

Hiles

The course was in nice shape. Was not a fan of the holes being raised and only needing to touch them. Foam in the holes 1” down much better.

Hardpan everywhere

Hardpan in rough. Bunkers like concrete. Green would hold week struck shots from the fairway. Cart girl drove past us 4 times without stopping. Not worth it. Never going back.

Great Value

Championship caliber golf at a decent price. 7200 yards from the tips presented a challenge, plenty of water, but great value for the money.

A public course that gets a lot of play. Greens were good, rough areas are pretty bare, and tees beat up.

Played Saturday mid morning, so crowded and fairly slow, but not horrible.

A nice layout and a decent value for the money.

Poor condition

They definitely did not over seed with winter grass. The rough is all dead grass and hard ground. Not worth the money for the condition.

Thank you for your feedback about the condition of the course. While it is not the type of feedback we like to hear, we appreciate it nonetheless.

Just so you know, we do overseed our tees, greens and fairways.

Almost a Dog Track

First time playing Palm course in years. It was in woeful shape. Bird crap everywhere, fairways muddy and tee boxes sparse of grass. Practice tees were dirt... no grass at all at 1:30 pm.

Would recommend the Pine course and avoid the Palm.
