Beautiful
Course was in great condition, pace of play was perfect and the staff was outstanding!
Outstanding course
Everything was as advertised, could not have been more satisified
Good place to be on a weekday
We played on a Sunday for the first time in a long time. Pace was a little slow but its good to see the beer cart out on weekends. The restrooms on the course could use some attention. Good place for a good round of golf.
Course in great shape
We ended up playing two rounds. The replay rate was the same as the very discounted rate we got off of Golfnow. I thought it was a bit high for replay, but after driving 74 miles it was better than heading home early on a Friday and putting up with traffic.
The round was very enjoyable, the greens were in very good shape except for a couple of dead spots on the front edge. Well maintained considering the drought year we are having in California.
Challenging course
7 holes are elevated greens Most of the par 4's your second shot is the most important. A lot of the greens has subtle breaks.
Great cenery.
I will be back. I live out of state but have enjoyed the course for many years.
Great value
Fun course, good condition and fun to play. Would recommend this course to any golfer looking for an affordable day on the golf course.
This course was in awesome shape
I can't say enough great things about this course it was in great condition and the greens in awesome shape. I will be playing again very soon.
Quality golf for a great price in the Monterey area!
Wonderful setting.
course which requires a variety of golf shots for varied layout of holes, especially on the back nine.
Picturesque location and great layouto
Course can be challenging at times with many blind greens from the tee. Bad shots can be overcome on many holes, but can be costly on others - no real hidden trouble (unless you are a heavy hitter, then watch the water on 15), so you can see what you're dealing with. Lots of bunkers, so practice your sand shots. Lots of fun and will play again.
Good condition, average+ greens
Played Laguna recently. Even with the California drought, the course was in good condition. The greens were fairly fast. Some were slightly bumpy, but that is kind of what you get with most courses in Monterey County. I thought for a Friday it was not very crowded and we played in under 4 hours. Overall, course was in good condition. Generally Laguna is not too difficult except for 3 or 4 holes that really make you pay attention.
Usually enjoy this course...
Lagune Seca has always been a great course to play, but...
Today, the greens were pretty bumpy. Go to putt and the ball would bounce three or four time on every hole...Almost should have been two-putt only.
Fun course
Course was in good shape. Played on a Tues in 4 hours.
Small complaint. When you use a cart they charge you $3 for cart key that you can get back if you bring key back to clubhouse. Of course I forgot and simply returned cart to designated place. There really isn't a good reason for this policy except for them to pick up an addl $3 fee from I suspect many players who forget as this is not the norm at most courses I've played.
Decent course, bad Greens
My biggest complaint about the course is the greens. They definitely need some work. A lot of great courses in the area, its probably best to just skip playing this one.
Raise the boxes
For a course that is in view of the highway I did not expect the experience I recieved. You quickly forget the highway as you make your way around the course. With hills all around, a few water hazards and the raised tee boxes. The raised tee box on hole 1 instantly sets the tone for the day.
if you enjoy raised tee boxes, dog legs left and right this is the course for you
Great course
we played a 4some on Saturday morning and it was pretty wide open. We had a blast. The course is difficult for my skill set but I love a challenge. The course was in great condition. The greens are tough but it made for a fun morning round. Would definitely play again
Enjoyable day with some critique.
Despite the drought the course was quite green. The rough was tough and the greens bumpy. The 10th green is a mess. The 15th hole needs to be redesigned.
Greens
The condition of the course was great except the greens. Our group felt that the greens were just too bumpy!
oops! Laguna Seca
I just assumed all of the courses in the Monterey area would be equally terrific - not so. best thing about this course is that I was able to play it in just under two hours. The greens are lumpy and badly pitted. I don't mind the dryness - that's just California drought. Played Pacific Grove later in the day and LOVED it.
