Golfer Reviews
Enjoyable course-Need Marshal to speed play
Nice facilities, enjoyable course to play but pace was quite slow. Course needs marshals to encourage groups to keep up with players ahead. One slow group can reduce enjoyment for all following players. This is particularly true on pre/post holiday play.
Great vacation course
Easily got a t time while on vacation Not an outstanding course but fun. Pace of play was good finished in 3 1/2 hours. Worth checking into while in Monterey
Overall an excellent course!
Great course and great value. Highly recommended for novice to intermediate golfers. Course challenge rating overall a 3-4. Fairway a bit "fluffy" at some spots so adjust your swing. Greens in very good condition.
"Swing away!"
Laguna Seca
A very enjoyable round quick play overall a good value
Nice course with fresh air
We are late since traffic from San jose. Nice course for any level player, course is kind of shot but maintain well, food is good, I ordered big burger. Will be play again.
Course Conditions
As this has been a great local course for many of us who golf here locally, but the conditions of the greens have been a point of frustration over the past few years. Would like to see the greens worked on and maintained better. Bunkers should
Great Staff, great Course
I always have a good time when I play this challenging course. There are some tricky routes here and the greens tend to play fast. The new crew really has this place in great shape! I spent quite a bit of time in the sand, which is another challenge here. The staff is friendly and helpful and they really seem interested in showing you a good time. Great way to spend an afternoon!
Great views and layout
Played this course for the first time, not even looking at any pictures or course information. Booked a great deal on GolfNow and showed up to the first hole to be completely amazed. Starting at the top of a hill and hitting down into beautiful greens, big tress and mountains all around you is a pretty good way to start a game. Each hole, my group and I would take a second to look out before teeing off to admire the beauty around us. Pace was perfect. Never waited for the group in front and group behind us never waiting on us. Everything from the fairways to the cart path that takes you up and around the hillside passing under thick, green trees and bright greens on the other side. My new favorite course.
Early morning
Teed off at 7 am. Staff was friendly and course was in good condition. Great course
New forward tees not shown on scorecard
Overall, my husband and I enjoyed playing the course and recommend it. We selected tee boxes to play based on the scorecard; white and red. However, after about 4 or 5 holes a new set of green markers appeared between the white and red and the yardage for the reds changed to much shortage yardage on some holes. Very confusing on what to play. After the round, I asked in the pro-shop and was told a new set of tees added and the reds had been re-rated. They had forgotten to give me new scorecard. The guy was not apologetic at all. Poor customer service! If you plan on playing one of now "two" sets of forward tees, make sure you get the new scorecard. The old is useless.
Great Time! Great Course!
Very nice course! Not too many people so I was able to relax and work on my game. Will be back for sure.
mini pasatiempo
Beautiful little course. Classic Trent Jones design and in great shape. Finishing hole a little disappointing but really a nice golf course - especially for $24 on golf now - WOW!
Great course. Had a great round
We were on a road trip and golfed last minute. The golf now price made the round reasonable at 44 pp which was fair. Regular rounds are a little steep at 70 for my likening. We rented clubs which were 40 a set shock I also thought was a little high but they gave us Callaway X Hot2 so I can't complain as I am interested in buying them and I was able to get a feel for them so I happy the course was I great condition and challenging the only flaws I have about the course is they didn't have a beverage cart and we had a number of 2 some walkers who slowed play down. Being from Chicago out courses do not allow walkers during peak play as it slows down play to much. Some locals we played with agreed that the course should keep play moving by limiting walking folders at peak times. Other than that it was a great course and I would love to play it again and would recommend it to anyone.
View and Hills
I've played this course many times throughout the past years. The club does a very good job maintaining the fairways and greens. If you've never golfed this course you'll enjoy the hills and views. Overall a moderately challenging course and would recommend to anyone whose never played it. Would not recommend walking this course unless your looking for some good cardio!
