Golfer Reviews
I always enjoy this course
Very fun course !!! Back 9 are more challenging , greens need a little bit of work!!!
I always enjoy whenever i played here!
Great value for the money. I love the course layout
Each hole is different and has challenge of its own
Hole 14, par 5, can make you go home very happy or very unhappy. I always enjoy playing this course
If you have never played here, you must give it a try! Breakfast is excellent!
July 4th at Laguna Seca
Great Course. Greens had some issues but overall very nice.
Layout
Good course but layout is unsafe. Alot of places where you can get hit by golf balls and play can backup causing slow play. Tee boxes very close to last hole approch shots. Very strange , and unsafe with hackers on course. Beware!
The course need to be re-design !
The course is in bad shape! Fairways are brown and In horrible condition ! The drought must be affecting the conditions of the fairways because it looks like it is not being watered and dead spots everywhere along the course.
Hope this helps!
An old favorite
Great course. Some hard, some not so hard. Good variety. Many elevated Greens or Tees. Almost always one of each. Watch out for 15, you think you're safe, but then there's another "feature" that takes your ball.
Beautiful
Lovely, challenging, fun to play...interesting layout , beautiful greens and great women's tees
Laguna early
Our group got out early on Saturday morning.
Course was in nice shape, weather was great.
Start @7a done by 10;30a foresome.
too expensive
I used to play here on a regular basis..via golfnow.com...but prices have been raised so that this course has become one that I only play once every month or so...
Poor Laguna Seca has hit the skids
Course looks almost unmaintained with the occasional decent green. Pace was over 5 hours. No course marshals. Cart gal took off at 2:45 on a Saturday. Kitchen closed at 3pm. Greens full of invasive grass, mostly bumpy and unmowed. I used to enjoy this course but it's now clearly circling the drain. Too bad...the staff are very nice.
Great course
Competent staff. Course well maintained. Windy conditions really call for right club selection. Only criticism is that the bunkers have a lot of stones in them.
Fun design but needs maintence
I enjoy Laguna Seca but it has some weed issues. Some fairways have crab grass, some greens have some invasive weeds as well causing some bumpiness. The traps don't all drain well so most are wet during a morning round and are inconsistent.
The Robert Trent Jones design is fun but some blind shots take some course knowledge.
Beautiful and Challenging
The first 9 warm you up for a tougher back 9. This is a very scenic course in a quiet and picturesque location. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. I had been eying this course for a while and took advantage of it using my GN BOGO reward. Because of this I got a fabulous deal and would go back paying more for the course. The course has a great mix of par 3/4/5's. Plenty of bunkers on the back 9 to keep you on your toes and the 15th features 2 shots over the water hazard in order to get to the green. Fairways, tee boxes, traps and greens all very well maintained. Great mix of flats, ups and downs. Would recommend this course wholeheartedly.
My favorite course
We had fun and the staff was very friendly. The course is well balanced...... I think it has 2 par 5, 6 par 4 and the rest par 3. The weather is always nice as opposed to the coastal foggy courses. Thank you!
Great track
Great track great people the wether is all way decent in that area of hwy 68 the greens and fairway where perfect for the golf now price!!!
This course is an awesome local play
I recommend this course to anyone visiting Monterey or who lives close visit the snack shack and say hi to Evelyn on Sunday she makes awesome tuna on whole wheat.
Watch the wind
The course was in very good condition. There were some thin areas on some of the fairways, but the greens were soft and putted true. This is a typical
RT Jones design where accuracy is prime. On the uphill holes, pull an extra club.
I would like to play this course again.
