About
Oak Marsh Golf Course is one of the truly classic Pete Dye-designed golf courses in the world. The course was built in 1972 shortly after the completion of the Harbour Town Golf Links at Hilton Head Island, South Carolina. The recent renovation led by Beau Welling was completed in 2025 and was thoughtfully planned to protect the architectural feel of Pete Dye’s original creation.
At par 72, this 6,471-yard course is noted for its tight fairways and small greens, meandering along serpentine salt marsh creeks and through the moss draped heritage oaks for which Amelia Island is famous. With five tee options, the modernized layout was designed to meet the requirements of today’s game brought on by technological advancements in equipment, providing a high-quality and consistent playing experience.

Great day of golf
We had a beautiful day to play. The course was in excellent condition- beautiful tee boxes and fairways and firm fast greens. We played our round on under 4 hours and the staff was very friendly. I highly recommend this course
Humid Sunday Morning
Course is in great condition. Some Tee boxes moved up to overseed and repair normal tees which made for some driveable par 4's. Only complaint was one group slowing the whole course, no marshall to monitor the course.

Beautiful golf course
My brother and I love to play Oak Marsh Golf course when we are visiting the Amelia Island area. It is always in great shape and the staff was super friendly, from the pro shop to the cart staff.
Just a really enjoyable place to play golf with scenic marsh views.

Great little track with great greens, not very long but plenty of challenge from every tee. If you haven’t played there then it’s worth the few bucks!

First impression is sometimes is the last impression.
Like they say, sometimes first impresson is the last impression. It's my first time playing the course and there is just nothing I can or could find any negative to say about my overall experience. From the gate and through out. The staff members, the golf course, and I can go on and on all the good things that anyone could say and my experience is super great over all. I highly recommend this course to anyone and will definitely will go back again.

Poor man's Sea Island
Pro shop was credit card only which was strange and generally everyone I spoke to on the staff was a little rude but once I got on the course I forgot all of that. Course is PURE. The layout wasnt overly long even from the back tees but you need to put the ball in the right spots. A lot of signature holes with breath taking views (think Sea Island). This place might just take the cake as my favorite course in north Florida.

Only bad thing and I mean only!
First off big thanks to the superintendent and his/her crew. The course is incredible and can surely test any golfer. Food was pretty darn good. The only problem was the outside staff and the pro shop staff. Very unwelcoming and not willing to accommodate anyone. I’m a resident of Jackson so the drive is short and the rate is one you can beat but I don’t know if I’d come stay at this resort if golf is your main reason for the getaway. I’ll definitely be back but maybe someone would smile and just be more inviting. Nothing worse than bad vibes right before the first tee.

Amazing Course but 11$ hotdogs?!
The course was close to perfect. Well maintained, amazing layout and views to die for. However, one 5inch hotdog and a bag of chips is NOT worth $11.
