Recent green aeration has healed well. Putts are rolling true. Tees and fairways are excellent. Great value with superior conditions for this time of year. Worth the drive.

This is a very difficult course if don’t have a yardage book or haven’t played enough to know the layout. The course was very wet and the fairway grass was to tall. Thw greens were like putting on corduroy pants.

The conditions are probably great in season but it is still a difficult course.

Fun course, but bring lots of balls if you are a high handicapped or off your game. Greens were slow, but true.

The course is very good shape, the tee boxes and the great are for the most part very green and well manicured. The first cut off the fareways is a little tall and if you miss your mark, the ball will sink and you lose your ball. So shoot em long and straight!!

Deer Island is a fun and really challenging course. It is helpful to know the course or you may find yourself in some troubled areas. The Bermuda grass rough is thick and the ball will find itself hidden in the thick rough. The thick roughs will make some shots difficult to cover required yardage, so be prepared to make some lay-up shots to salvage the hole. The par 3s over water can be difficult when the wind is up, but there is marked drop zones for those who can't carry the water. There is restrooms on the front and back nine that have running water. My only concern is there are a few holes where the fairways are soggy and the ball will plug. Your shoes may get muddy as well when walking across these areas. Overall this is a really well kept, challenging course to play.

This is one of my favorite courses. It would be triple the price if it was closer to Orlando.

Great course.

It's a haul getting there but once there, a beautiful layout in a hidden gem of a lakefront community. Greens and fairways were great, rough is a bit thick and challenging. Staff is friendly. Lots of wildlife including several gator sightings. Not an easy course by any stretch but if you hit the ball straight, you'll do ok here.

This course is near perfect in all phases. It's no wonder it is so highly rated among the best courses in Florida

Incredible course, excellent conditions and beautiful scenery. The Ranger has absolute free range with his golf cart and will pop out of nowhere with it. He came behind us atleast 8-12 times to tell us to "hurry up" and "help him out" when reality was the course was wide open, nobody around, and we paid good money to enjoy the day. Hurry-up golf is not fun, lets get this ranger some chores to do, keep him busy.

Incredible course, great shape. Challenging but enjoyable to play. Greens were great, fairways in top notch shape. Only complaint is the ranger was up our butts the entire day. Saw him about 12-14 different isolated times through 18 holes.. we were behind a very slow group for the front 9 and we got our balls busted throughout the back from this guy and we were playing scramble golf. My only complaint with this gem. Would consider coming back. Paid a good amount and drove about an hour to play, expect to not have the ranger on our chops all day long.

By far, the best out of the way drive you'll make in Central Florida to play a round of golf. Nothing else to say. Kudos to Mike Brownsberger and crew!

This course is in excellent condition..greens are smooth and fast, and fairway are green and lush.

Overall course in good condition for the high heat of summer. Green, no dead spots or much in the way of weeds. They have not yet punched, greens were in good condition yet were on the slow side. Tee boxes were in good condition but a bit fluffy and you didn't need to tee up your ball on par 3's. Water on every hole makes you think and play with some thoughts about strategy. For such a long drive into the country to get there the price is usually a bit steep and I can play cheaper much closer to home. They're summer rates are right on the edge of being too high for the steamy summer. I got a hot deal for under $50 to play and it was worth the drive for that price. Friendly staff all around.
