Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Great Golf Courses

Found this gem on GolfNOW and would go back in a minute. We played Las Colinas first and finished in just over 3 hours as a twosome. Greens rolled smooth even though they were sanded and variety of holes was totally anti Florida. They had a ton of land to work with and used it all. #s12-14 are Brutal. 1st Par 5 on the back(#12) though only 460yd or so from the Blues ;ooks like you have a 20 yd window to drive through. Next hole is wide open Par 5 that is complete oppostite and then you have a 470yd par 4 to close out the stretch Awesome value especially for a $50 course.

We played El Campeon in the afternoon and it too is a fun track. We played with another 2some and finished again in under 4 hours despite being pretty busy. Par 3's on this side were memorable and it had unbelievable elevation changes, especially for Florida. Felt like we were playing in New England or on the RTJ in Alabama. Overall, we liked Las Colinas better but you cannot go wrong either way.

The Customer is ALWAYS RIGHT

Not the first time I’ve encountered a blatant lack of care, concern or any attempt to accommodate a request from this course. My time was 12:57pm. I arrived at 12:10pm only to find out 20 foursomes were going out at 12:30pm. I requested an accommodation of teeing at that time or going off the back side. The Asst.Gm or Pro said no and basically too bad. I have seen thIs smug attitude here before and will never come back or recommend this course. I frequent the restaurants here as well. I’m done spending any money here ever. Bye folks.

Always a pleasure to play here

I love this place. Both courses are always in great shape. Very windy when we played LC. Greens more difficult in these conditions. All I can say is: Awesome.

Beautiful course, well maintained and attended to. Major problem is green speed which was terrible. I had to swing so hard at putts that I pulled the

Please risk the greens a little to Get them to at least an 8 or 9 stimp reading.

JUST GO PLAY THERE!

Absolutely one of my favorite courses in central Florida. I like Los Colinas over El Campion because of the routing through the pine trees. All the grassy areas were over seeded and the greens are GREAT. It is like a spiritual experience playing this wonderful course.

Great Day of Golf

My wife and I recently moved to central Florida. Several of our neighbors highly recommended Mission Inn Resort for golf.

The course was in excellent playing condition. The course was tough but very fair .

We really enjoyed our round and will be returning.

A great day of golf

Mission Inn Las Colinas is one of my favorite Florida courses. I've played Last Colinas each of the five years I've wintered in Florida since retirement, and I think the course was in the best shape I've seen it today. Las Colinas has an interesting variety of holes, several bordered by beautiful homes. The course is challenging yet "gettable" and definitely holds your interest. Staff is friendly and accommodating, and course maintenance staff is especially respectful of play - shutting down mowers for shots, etc. Looking forward to getting back to Las Colinas several times before our winter stay ends.

Great Resort Course

Had a great time playing this course while on vacation. Course is a little ways out there from Orlando, but worth the trip. There was virtually no one else on the course, so we were able to play in 4 hours. Good condition and layout.

A Good Test of Golf

I find Las Colinas to be a harder test of golf than El Campeon, due to some of the long par 4's with tight fairways that tend to be dogleg rights. The course is always in good shape and can play longer than anticipated.

A polar opposite layout to El Campeon. This is slightly tighter and weaves among some homes. It certainly isn't a slouch in comparison, our group made a day and played both courses in the same day. Highly recommend coming to check it out as the course was in great shape, maybe close to the best I have seen it.

Solid Companion to El Campion.

Had the chance to play Las Colinas for the first time yesterday as part of a 36-hole day at Mission Inn.

El Campion is the lead track and I’ve played it a few times before. It’s a solid test that’s tight and fairly unforgiving for the slightest wayward tee ball. There’s a good amount elevation change for Florida and something that feels more like Cape Cod (elevation and pines) or Southern CA (elevation and surrounding Spanish hotel architects). Las Colinas is a more traditional forgiving Florida-style layout that has less of both of theses.

We played 36 on this occasion and our second 18 was a fun-first, 2-team, 10-man scramble. This layout was very conducive for this format. .

I’d like the chance to play it on my own ball as it’s more forgiving than its tighter more demanding sister course.

Recommend.
