Mission Inn Resort & Club - Las Colinas Course
About
Las Colinas is one of two championship golf courses at Mission Inn Resort. It is less challenging than the other course, El Campeon, but both provide enjoyable and unique rounds. Las Colinas sprawls across gently rolling hills with elevation changes that are less startling than those found throughout the older El Campeon course. Twisted oak hammocks and a sprinkling of lush pines accent Las Colinas. The golf course has an inland links layout that boasts wide-open, forgiving fairways and large, receptive greens. There is an interesting variety of risk/reward opportunities as well as a few forced carries. The course has many player-friendly features but its classic architecture does call for a fair amount of accuracy, especially on its signature hole, the par-5 12th. Nicknamed "Alligator Alley," this 493-yard hole features a winding, tree-lined fairway.

Zacapa
Las Colinas is one of the nicest courses in central Florida.
Lovely course, we played both courses this week!
Your policy of not issuing starter tickets for pre paid tee times until 30 minutes before tee time caused us inconvenience!
We could buy range balls and be issued with cart but had to return to the pro shop to get our starter tickets.
We called into your home sales office after golf and we were told that it wasn’t a good time to show us around.
Slow Pace
Great course, great conditions, friendly staff, but pace was abysmal. The beverage cart asked us if pace was slow and if we had seen a ranger because other groups had complained to her about it, we concurred and she said she would let someone know. This was on hole 10 or 11 and we still never saw anyone after that. Pace actually got slower after this. We were laughing with the group behind us that there were 13 people on the 18th hole. Foursome in the fairway, and waiting on the tee, a twosome, a solo, us (twosome), and another foursome behind us. It wasn’t 5.5 hours at shingle creek bad, but close. Again, can’t say enough great things about the course and facilities but pace is a round killer and an experience killer. This is why Orange County National is my favorite place in central Florida, they have the best rangers and pace of play around.
Pace of play issues
Played at 11am on a Sunday. I like this course, good layout, good conditions. However, five and a half hours is unacceptable anywhere. No sign of a ranger or player assistant all day. I understand they generally can’t do much to speed up play, but a little presence may have helped a little.
Good experience
The course was in great shape. Greens were fast and true. Fairways were in excellent shape. Came from Pennsylvania to play and it was a perfect way to chase winter away. Cart staff was helpful. Would have been nice if the starter would have given us the lay of the land, but that didn't happen. Would have been even nicer if the cart girl would have been around more then twice. It was 80 and we saw her twice, one time doesn't count because we were on 18. Pace of play was slooooow. 5+ hours to play. It was sunny and 80 so we were okay but we waited on almost every shot. The had rangers but they didn't do anything to push things along. The course and facilities were top notch and that made up for a lot. It was a fun and we would return. Next time we would probably give El Champon a run. Fun day and a good value on a beautiful track.
Mission Inn – booked El Campeon, played Las Colinas…
Were told by the starter, that there is tournament on El Campeon in front of us and it may take some six (!?) hours to play behind it. He offered us to play Las Colinas instead (!?) – we did. Las Colinas is not a bad course, but it feels like “inhomogeneous” – someow it does not fit together. On the front nine par 4s are rather long and on the back nine rather short. Very long ride between several holes there. Tee boxes, fairways and bunkers mostly in good condition – greens rather fast. Overall not a bad track, but to me it is nothing to be remembered. And the rate was rather high, as we’ve paid for El Campeon…
Rain
Enjoyed the front nine, started to rain on 10, played to 12. The green had about 2 inches of water in places. Fairways were better suited for boating. Returned to clubhouse hoping for a rain check, but were told if we had stopped at 11 they would give a rain check. Most clubs would not want carts running around in such conditions.

Too expensive
Nice course but not worth the rack rate they are charging !
I wouldn't pay full price for this course !
Well Alrighty Then!
Played in the afternoon. College tournament on the other course so we expected a lot of traffic on las Colinas. We had the course pretty much to ourselves. Good day, good course. Greens in really ncie shape and was told the El campeon side was even better. I'll be back for sure. Great value.
Solid course
Only thing keeping my rating was lack of yardage markets. 150 stick or preferably sprinkler head markings needed.
I will definitely golf here again
I liked this course a lot. It's in great shape and beautiful. Located in a very beautiful development. We were thankful to the foursome of men that let the two of us play through on the back nine since they were struggling a bit....It could have turned into a 4.5hr or longer round had we not played through. In the end, we played the course in 3.5 hours!!
The greens are much improved and fairways good
I played Las Colinas yesterday and found the course conditions improved compared to my previous rounds with the latest about one month ago. It was an afternoon "hot deal" and the day was unseasonably hot too with temperatures above 85 degrees with slight breeze. I played with two other much younger golfers who were low handicap golfers judging from their play. The greens rolled unusually slow compared to previous rounds but that can be attributed to the increased lushness of the grass. Some areas of the fairways are needing attention and repairs for wet conditions and rutting by cart traffic. There are a few bare areas but generally the problem areas are minor. Recent heavy play has left a considerable amount of un-repaired divots and too many players fail to repair ball marks on the greens. This is not the fault of anyone except the players themselves (a too common problem). Play was completed inside of 4 hours since we encountered no significant delays.
FunTime
course good shape, played with some nice people> pace was bad two groups held us up for whole round on the course! there was no ranger insight
Very well-maintained golf course
This course is a top notch test of golf! Greens are ideal and very tru, again a real test for the experienced golfer. Lastly, there is water on most of the holes. Great course!!!
Pace of play was ridiculously slow.
First let me say the course was in really good shape. The back nine is really long. But I enjoyed the course. The pace of play was another story. The first seven holes were fine. But after that we had to wait on every hole. Their was two threesomes in front of us. And they joined into a six some but still kept up with the foursomes in front of them. That is how slow they were playing. Our round took four hours and forty five minutes. I think that is the longest round I have ever played. I'm glad I got my round cheap or I would have been mad. The group behind us called the pro shop. But they were no help. It's only my second time playing there. So I hope it was a bad day. Hope this helps.
