I have played at University Golf and Country Club many times for many years. I have always enjoyed myself.

The course is always in excellent condition.

I feel it is important to mention that it is the staff, from the gentlemen that welcome you and attend to your bag, the pro shop personnel, the starter and the rangers, that are the stand outs. They always make me feel welcome.

They go above and beyond to assure that you have the most enjoyable day possible. Me telling you this is one thing, get out to University and enjoy your day and discover for yourself the finest public course in Sarasota .

One of the best pay-and-play clubs in the area

Heavy rains closed the course on the day I was due to play - but despite a couple days of heavy rainfall, the course was still in pretty good condition when I played, and drained reasonably well. Friendly membership in my recent experiences playing here. Definitely one of the best pay-and-play clubs in the area.

Fantastic Greens, and great GolfNow deal. Terrific practice faculty, and best bag staff in town.

Lots of rain recently so Bunkers can be forgiven, tee to green was perfect.

Slow pace of play to start, but rangers did a GREAT job managing that.

I’d play here every day if I lived a bit close.

Over priced for mediocrity

Ridiculous price for a very average course. Mats at the range. Greens were just ok. Fairways ok. Rough way overgrown and unkept. Clubhouse staff rude and the snobby “we were masks here” comment as I reached for a mask was not necessary and insulting. I were masks too and you obviously need my money bc your not good enough to be private.

Best course in this area allowing (limited) public access play. Friendly, helpful, welcoming staff. Golf course in excellent condition from tee to green. Practice facilities are top of the line. If you have a chance to play here, don't pass it up! Already looking forward to my return visit.

Great course, sad to see the mask mandate

Love playing at University. The course is one of the best in the area. We did see that the new management put back the mandatory mask mandate. We will go back to playing other courses until they go back to optional or drop it all together.
