About
Dayton Valley Golf Club is an Arnold Palmer Signature design that has been a PGA Tour Qualifier course since 1995, making it the longest standing site in the country. The course is surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains and stretches across the valley below. The rolling, links-style layout features sculpted fairways and large, undulating greens. You may find yourself faced with a tough lie even after a good shot. It's a challenging test with plenty of water and strategically placed bunkers coming into play throughout. Careful shot placement is especially important on the water holes at Dayton Valley G.C. The most difficult hole on the golf course is the par-4 ninth. It's a lengthy dogleg left with water down along the entire left side of the fairway and short and right of the green. On your approach, hitting left of the green you'll find heavy rough or pot bunkers.

First Round of the Season
A few dry and damaged areas on the golf course that need a lot of work.
Sand traps are not very good and more like hard ground and gravel.
I really like the layout and the course has many water challenges that I seemed to find. Fun Layout and a good course to work on shot selection, and precise shots are well rewarded.

Dayton Valley Couse
It was a little windy to start. First hole into a 15 knot wind. Second hole with the wind. Fun both ways. The wind dissipated after 9. Sunny day, perfect conditions the back nine. Greens had just been sanded, so that made it hard to judge putts, so we just opted for 2 putt max, if you were within 2 feet on your first. Some greens were faster, some incredibly slow, (sand), was inconsistent. Otherwise, it was a great day.

Needs work
A bit overpriced for the time of year and conditions of the course. Nothing but rocks and dirt in the bunkers and the greens were to be aerated the next day, although they appear to already have been sandy a lot. lousy value for this time of year and course conditions, more like a $25 value at this point

Great course
Fun track. Very challenging with water on numerous hikes requiring good shot placement. Greens were in amazing shape for early season.

Winter isn't the best time to go.
The tee boxes were brown. The fairways, were brown. The greens, were brown. The course was obviously maintained and the greens were consistent. Not great. Not good, but at least consistent. Anxious to play it in the spring.

Best Course for the Money in Nevada
Great design. Challenging with several tee box options. Lots of water. Typically winter conditions, in the Summertime this place rocks. Jason in the Pro Shop is the best. I have played at least 50 courses in Nevada and this is by the far the best one for the money.
