About
Dayton Valley Golf Club is an Arnold Palmer Signature design that has been a PGA Tour Qualifier course since 1995, making it the longest standing site in the country. The course is surrounded by the Sierra Nevada Mountains and stretches across the valley below. The rolling, links-style layout features sculpted fairways and large, undulating greens. You may find yourself faced with a tough lie even after a good shot. It's a challenging test with plenty of water and strategically placed bunkers coming into play throughout. Careful shot placement is especially important on the water holes at Dayton Valley G.C. The most difficult hole on the golf course is the par-4 ninth. It's a lengthy dogleg left with water down along the entire left side of the fairway and short and right of the green. On your approach, hitting left of the green you'll find heavy rough or pot bunkers.

Great track for the money!
You honestly cant get a better course in the Reno/Carson area for the price. Its well maintained and a good layout. Greens roll smooth and not a lot of dead grass, which is tough for a desert course.
Bunkers could be a better sand but for 40 bucks you cant expect Agusta white bunkers.

Beautiful Day in Dayton!
With the hot days of summer upon us my expectations where not over the top , wow was I surprised at how great the greens and overall condition of the course was in! The staff are always friendly and welcoming and many food options in the bar/restaurant. Some fairways were a little troubled but that was the exception, avoid the bunkers not always well sanded but overall an interesting layout with challenging holes.
Definitely worth the drive and I will return , great golf value!

It’s Coming Back!
Dayton has always been one of my favorite local courses. While fairly expensive for regular play (like every other course in this area), it’s a fun and challenging track, And new ownership is obviously working hard to overcome the frugality of the prior owner.

Good Grass and Greens
Course was in excellent shape for this time of year. Greens rolled Fair and True. Staff is solid at Dayton . Always appreciate the Ice been for the Provided cooler on the cart. Good fun round

Nice layout
This course has a nice layout. Be ready it is challenging. First hole is easy but after that be ready.
The course is fairly straightforward in front of you. There are some tricky lay up shots on par 5s. If it is windy it brings a whole other problem. It is definitely a must play.

Always great greens
Overall experience on this day was very good. Greens were in great shape aside from #2. Fairways were generally good. Only complaint is the surrounds on some of the greens need attention especially #7
Bunkers need attention also.

Can never get 18 in (Pro Shop Sucks)
Never seem to be able to get 18 holes in. Either tournaments start after we go out, or like today, the pro shop decides to start people on the back nine, this time a group of five, and we get bogged down.

Private Member Harrassment
We were a foursome and finished our round right at four hours after stopping at the snack bar and allowing two twosomes to play through. However, on the back nine we were continually harassed by a private member foursome behind us for holding them up. It made for an unenjoyable round.
We mentioned the harassment issue to the club pro and he was understanding and offered to buy us a round of drinks in the clubhouse. That was another unenjoyable experience. Some of the clubhouse patrons were loud and obnoxious and four letter cuss words could be heard throughout.
My recommendation is do not pay golf here. The atmosphere on the course and in the clubhouse is caustic.

Bunkers
Most bunkers were not maintained at all, some full of standing water, no sand, or rock hard. Several shots were ball rolled through the bunker.
