Black Mountain Golf & Country Club - Founders/Desert Course

Very cold, windy. Pin placements were ridiculous, all being on high point of greens, no flat putts.

Enjoy getting out to BM whenever possible. Here in Las Vegas on business for 9 weeks and certainly will play more golf there,. Staff and members very friendly.

Well managed and maintained facility - asst. pro was very accommodating and actually escorted us to the first tee and introduced us to the course's particulars.
Fun place to play with nice views, variety and challenging greens.

It would have been more fun if it was a lot warmer than the 34 degrees. ball rolled forever course was in excellent condition considering the weather.

the front nine hole was really good the back nine I guess still try to do a lots of repair but for the price and the people was very helpful still worth every penny spends

Terrific golfing experience. The golf shop personnel were friendly and helpful. The starter gave an excellent overview of the course. The course was well maintained and the greens rolled true. With holes being relatively short, this was a great course for an intermediate golfer. it was worth the twenty minute drive from the Las Vegas strip.

Course was in good condition considering its location and the time of year. Pace of play was excellent. I would recommend this course to others.

Currently in the best shape ever. I would definitely play it again.

This course is in excellent shape. Especially considering the reins a season, it is fabulous job maintaining this course.

When we arrived for our tee time we were told that a mistake had been made and they had a tournament in progress. They rushed us to the first tee and placed us in between tournament players, so obviously we didn't get the range balls we had paid for. After 5 holes the tournament ended and we did have the course to ourselves, literally. No beverage cart, no directions on what nine we were to play next, etc. Very poor. I don't know why no one notified us of the problem before hand. They said they had no way to contact us yet I am sure if we hadn't shown they would have had a way to collect our money! Will never play there again.

I play here frequently, and the course is in great shape. Only complaint is that the fairways are really soft, so you won't get much run out of your shots.

The course was in pretty great shape overall. The Desert course hadn't been maintained as it no longer had any greens or fairways with life, but it did seem as if that was their intent. Founders and Horizon were in pretty great shape. There were some bald spots on the greens, but I'm sure that's just due to the seasons. One of the Marshall's unfortunately was extremely rude and discourteous and even threatened us at 1 point, for our rate-of-play. When I even pointed it out to him he did not have an argument or point, as we were clearly playing well within 4hours. We even finished at 3.45. Of course when I went to inform him of that after the round how blatantly wrong he was in the 1st place, he was no where to be found. I guess when you're wrong you go hiding. Most of the staff was pretty so-so. Would think twice before going again.

Course was in good shape. Staff was friendly and pace of play was good.

Course was in good condition for early high seasonal play

arrived early, got out right away. Course was in excellent shape and the greens were fast which I liked very much. The play was smooth and enjoyable. It helps when you have a hole-in-one on your third hole of the day though

Staff were very accommodating. Let us out in front a group of beginners. Greens were very fast. Disliked 90-degree rule.

The course was beautiful and in great condition. Couldn't have been happier.

The course was very dry in most areas. Sand traps were like hitting off concrete in most areas but very fluffy in others. There were a lot of groups playing but we waited on only 1 or 2 tee boxes. The layout of the course was very well done with a good mixture of difficult holes and easier holes to help the game.

Friendly staff, but an ok golf course......the Desert course is closed, and that would have been a nicer 9 holes
