Awesome Desert Course
We arrived earlier than our tee time and was allowed to start on the other course if we didn't want to wait. They have 3 courses and all were beautiful. Grass was a little dry on the fairway but greens were really nicely maintained.
Great value.
The course was an excellent challenge for an intermediate player. The conditions were better than i expected. Friendly staff.
For $50 it wasn't too bad.
Guests have to play the first nine on the oldest part of the course and the maintenance is very poor. Fairways were dry and grass was brown. Greens were okay. Second nine was better because this is one of the nines that members play so fairways were watered and greens were in good condition. Bunkers were bad with alot of stones and small pebbles.
The course had a lot of burnt area and the greens were not in good shape.
Paul was very nice as the starter, but the course is just not maintained well.
Nice time.
Course requires attention. Still recovering from accidental burnout. Greens are very good. Staff was great. Kitchen excellent.
fairways like carpet nice divots greens rolling true
this is a must play big bang for your buck fairways are plush great visual with different shades of green you must hit the ball if you dont reat bail out areas
Played a Founders-to-Horizon rotation.
Overall the course is in good shape. There were a few thin spots in some of the fairways. Even with an early morning round the greens were lightning fast but rolled true. Both of these 9's have some mid range 150-180 Yard par 3's from the white tee boxes that proved to be challenging.
Great course for the money..
It was okay
The course was just okay. I liked the layout but other things need to be better taken care of. There was no water in the ball washers so it you wanted to wash your ball, you had to dry clean it. A lot of dry spots on the fairways and greens. The water in the coolers, (1 about every 5 holes) was lukewarm. But over all, good course, I'd go back, but they charge too much when you can pay the same amount for a pristine course.
good course.
If you can get it for $30 it is worth it but not at $60.
course is a waiste of time and money
Staff are unfreindly and rude, and that starts at the front desk to the starter or resturant. this is a semi-private course and the members and staff treat you as an out sider like we are a neccisary evil to spend our money and shut and get out of the way. Will never play this course again, and the course is'nt even in good condition. Dont waiste your money
Just a Good Course..
Great Staff...Course is in Pretty Good Shape. Nothing to Write Home about.
Would Play again.
Fairways and greens spotty - a bit dry but very playable.
Very inexpensive to play and great value. Course was decently callenging and well laid out. It was not busy the day we played.
Great fun will play again for sure
Course was in pretty good shape. Greens were in really good shape. Pace of play was fast and great All around it was a lot of fun
The course certainly needs some attention. It appears as though they haven't watered in some time.
Hard to enjoy a course that is not taken care of. There are many other options in Las Vegas that are in the same price range but better maintained. The course has great potential, but needs better maintenance. The Desert course was rough, but the Founders course was better.
For LAs Vegas and the price: a good value and a fun play. Pace is quite good and course is in decent shape.
I looked for courses $60 and under and this fit the bill. Friendly staff, good range and course is in decent shape. Firm fairways and greens.
Its all the Staff
The staff is what makes this a great course. The greens were is fair shape and very challenging. I have played this course afew times and have always enjoyed the play. You have to be able to drive fairly well as the fairways are mostly some distance from the tee boxes and are separated by desert. a short drive and you are hitting in the dirt. Overall a very good time.
A nice course.
I play here often. Greens are pretty fast. Fairways in good shape. Staff is great. All around nice course.
The clubhouse and dining room are lacking in options and selections. The course is good for the money. Round was quick and cousre was in decent cond
I booked it on golf now. It was a good price for a Vegas course. I called because I was going to be 15 minutes late. The clubhouse was friendly and told me that it would be fine. There is no cart girl so I had to eat and drink in the clubhouse. There was not much selection and eating delayed me teeing off for another 30 minutes. The course was short and not too difficult. Fairways in great shape. The greens could use some work but nothing too terrible. There are some hidden water hazards that were a little unfair.
The Founders and Horizon nines have fair to good fair ways and greens. Most of the greens are small and elevated.
I played the Founders and Horizon nines in a threesome. The pace of play was a little slow with waiting on some holes. Fairways and greens were in fair to good shape, but if you hit off of the fairway, your ball would be more than likely in desert grit, (small gravel). I choose not to expose my clubs to hitting off of that surface. Most of the greens were small, elevated, and hard. We hit some shots to the middle of greens that did not hold. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would go back again, and liked the Horizon nine better than the Founders, but would like to see what challenges the Desert nine would present.
