Stallion Mountain Golf Club is conveniently situated just minutes from the Strip, but this Las Vegas golf course feels much further away thanks to a scenic landscape of towering, mature pines and six sparkling lakes. Over the years the course has hosted several major events including Frank Sinatra's Celebrity Classic and Las Vegas Invitational. It has a versatile layout that offers plenty of variety and shot values, which makes it appealing for a range of different skill levels. The par 4s and par 5s require long, accurate drives but the approach shots will test your iron game. The golf course also features undulating fairways lined with bunkers and water hazards come into play on 10 holes. In addition to the golf course, Stallion Mountain boasts a comprehensive practice facility that includes a 16-acre driving range with 40 tees, five practice putting greens, two chipping greens, and two practice bunkers.

Unexpected Problems

The actual course was in great shape however there was no running water anywhere on the course which meant no functional rest room facilities. We were told the rest rooms on the course we not affected, but that was not true. No beverage or food service available. No attempt by the staff to offer any type of compensation for the lack of facilities. Rough first day of our golf trip to LV!

Great Vegas Value

Played here on a Thursday morning with rental clubs. Decent set of Callaway clubs, about what you’d expect from rentals.

Course is in great shape for the money. Greens were a bit long and on the slower side but fairways were great. Bunkers have granular sand in them. Few water holes that are fun but challenging if you end up on the wrong side (which I always did) and have to chip towards the water!

Highlight of the round was pairing up with Dave who works on the course. He showed me the course layout and how to play each hole. Great guy to play the round with!

Great value for midweek golf!!

Second time playing course and had a second great day !! Pace was great, was Monday so probably helped, some bare spots off fairways but greens where receptive to long approach shots which isn’t always the case at a lot of the desert courses, and they rolled true, not the fastest but good shape. Food was good in bar and staff very friendly, will be back for sure.

Great pace of play.

Very relaxing pace of play in spite of being hooked up with a couple ( h/w) that recently took up the game. There are no marshals to be found anywhere. My buddy and I are 6 and 12 handies but very respectful of who we play with. We followed there shots and helped them locate errant hits to be mindful of our pace of play. We were able to keep up with the group in front of us. There were an occasional “honey pick up your ball” quips from the husband, but my buddy and I were quick to dismiss them. We were all first timers here, paid our fare, and dam sure, should get our money worth, regardless if we have a career round or not. I love the layout and would definitely recommend this place to my friends and certainly do a repeat. 🤙🏽

Great Shape

Upon arriving at stallion Mountain, it was still dark as we teed off at 6:15 AM. The staff was impeccable. The pro shop was great. The people in there working all around was just a great experience. The course was in great shape and I highly recommend this course it's fun.

It's golf....

The course is what it is. Pace of play was very slow. The "ranger" is an oblivious a-hole. Greens and tee boxes are pretty bad. Fairways are ok. If you can't get a tee time anywhere else, you atleast have stallion Mountain to fall back on.

Horrible.

By far the worst course I’ve ever played. No beverage cart. No Marshall- and that’s the worst part. Was pacing a five-plus hour round, and that’s playing through two groups. Course is in inexcusable shape, left after ten. Complete waste of time and money.
