TPC Las Vegas
About
TPC Las Vegas (formerly known as The Tournament Players Club at The Canyons) is Vegas' premier PGA Tour facility, making it a popular destination for professional players and casual golfers alike. The golf course enjoys a scenic backdrop provided by Red Rock Canyon, with views stretching past the surrounding mountains to the Las Vegas skyline. Lush greens contrast the rugged desert landscape of arroyos and barrancas. This challenging layout will test the shot-making skills of even the most seasoned players. The deceptively sloped greens can be difficult but the fairways are somewhat wide and give a little room for error. The back nine presents a particularly formidable test. It is difficult to pick out a signature hole, but the par-4 13th, nicknamed "Death Valley" is memorable for being one of the best risk-reward opportunities on the golf course.

Greens in bad shape
I played in the spring when you would expect better greens, but already hard and dried oy
Excellent Course, Greens SUPER FAST
We played TPC Vegas 2 times on our most recent trip March 3, and 6. Our Golfers range from a 7-18 handicap. The course is gorgeous and fun. If you cannot hit the ball off the tee you will struggle here. The greens were extremely dry and US Open fast. My putt for Birdie on the 3rd hole was about 20ft, my par putt went off the back and I had to chip, then putt two more times for a bogey. Balls would not stay on the green. We installed the 3 putt max rule after most in the group were 3 and 4 putting. Over-all great course and would definitely recommend.
course scenery beautiful, greens are fast
The pace of play was average with some delays but Marshall was able to keep groups moving along, greens were fast and hard, did not hold good shots, sand was fluffy and scenery was beautiful.
Great Value for $ 90
Booked on golfnow as a single. Worth it for 90. $ 199 not so sure...
good fair course
Overall nice course with a good layout. Some challenging tee shots that can be lost into canyons/desert areas- for the most part you cannot afford to spray your drives too much off the tee. Course conditions and facilities are very nice. The greens are firm, fast, and undulated- make sure your chipping and putting is tight if you expect to score here. Some nice views and easily accessible from the strip. Worth playing!
Very tough course Very windy our day. Bring your A game.
Would come back first timer at TPC Vegas. Everything I look for in a course. Greens are sutle tough.
Great course layout typical of TPC style A+++
This was a great course. I'm an East Coast Canadian(New Brunswick) and had not hit a ball since Oct/2012. I played with two guys from St. Louis who wanted to play from the blue tees.(thank god the pro tee boxes were not open) The fairways were in good condition and the rough was good to hit from (about 21/2") the greens were fast for the time of day,but they rolled true. They were receptive to short iron approach shots. The bunkers were consistent in sand texture. I got plenty of practice from them. The desert around the tee boxes and fairways was beautiful and wildlife was plentiful(rabbits and birds). We were following a company tourney (scramble format) which resulted in a 4 3/4hr round that we just got in time. We took the opportunity to tell golf stories and share laughs. Great course I only wished I could play it again to score better but I'll just have to come back !!!

Glad I got a good deal
Played at noon on Super Bowl Sunday and the course was almost empty. The course was in great shape but they don't over-seed the greens for winter. That means none of the cup cuts or ball marks heal until spring. That said, the greens were relatively true, very fast, and crazy firm. Couldn't get them to hold anything. Overall very good experience, but would have been disappointed if I'd paid full price.
A little dissapointed
Booked a twosome in the morning for myself and one other. Clubhouse and staff were great from begining to end. Being a TPC course I expected a very challenging course with pristine conditions. It was a challenging course without a doubt. The conditions left alot to be desired for the price. My recent outings at Paiute, Angel Park, Palm Valley, and Highland Falls each provided a much nicer course for a lower price. Maybe in the spring and fall this course perks up a little but for now I'll play elsewhere.
Challenging with good greens
This is challenging as you would expect from a TPC course. The staff were all very friendly from check-in, starter to the cart staff at the end of the round. The greens are in better shape than most of the other higher priced courses in the area for this time of year.
Certainly recommend it for anyone wanting a nice challenging but what should be an enjoyable game in Las Vegas.
Loved the degree of difficulty
Took only 3 1/2 hours to play. Beautiful views. We felt the course was above average for difficulty. Loved the holes where you have to shoot over canyons. Greens were a little disappointing for this time of year. Being prime season in Las Vegas, expected the course to be lush and green. Some roughs were dormant creating the appearance of what you'd see in the dry, hot summer months. Overall, great value for the money. Don't know that we feel it would be worth paying alot of money, but thanks to GolfNow, it was a great bargain!
Always in great condition
Course gets surprisingly little play in the non-peak seasons and is always in great shape. Plays a bit short, but still has some very challenging holes. Desert layout is forgiving without feeling like you are playing "target" golf. Good shots are rewarded and layout of the course is pleasing to the eye.
This course lives up to the TPC and PGA brand. Amazing!
WOW! That was the first word out of my mouth when I walked onto this course. From the pro shop, to the driving range, to the friendly staff, to the course itself, a first class experience all the way. The course was challenging for me because many holes either had a large hazard to navigate to get to the green or a blind fairway shot from the tee box. Being just a beginner, that scared me a bit but I found the challenge exciting. The greens were all in fantastic condition. I'm planning on coming back here on my next Vegas trip.
great experience beautiful views
Great staff esp. cart guys on arrival & departure. Very friendly
and available beverage cart gal. Course views are beautiful
guite a change from very flat Southeast Texas. Some holes
are very intimidating and some blind T shots make it hard to
get the courage to swing the club. Many rabbits and quail were
a treat but the Puldo or Coots on 18 were interesting but a bit
nasty. Would be great to have GPS with hole views and hints
would have been a great help. The only negative I have is that
there was a fivesome on a Sat that were very slow and no
marshall to speed them up so our round was longer than it
should have been and the whole back 9 was backed up..
What a wonderful experience
This was an experience worth reliving and I intend to visit again. The staff were all jovial and extremely helpful. Greens and fairways were well maintained, I especially liked the practice areas.
Playing from the back tees, I did not find the course as difficult as its reputed to be, granted there were a few forced carries and proper course management was in order.
If you have a hard getting off the tee, then you will pay the piper in lost balls, that was the only difficult element of the course that I found. Of course the old adage of "hit em straight" applies as the piper is around even on the fairways.
The tees are also properly set for different experience levels. This is my 14yr old son's first year playing golf, and even he scored a few pars playing from the forward tees. You should have seen his excitement.
We didn't really have time to play more than one round since this wasn't a dedicated golf trip, but my expectations are now properly set for my rematch against the course. It took my ball and I expect to get it back :)
Great time out!
Had a great time but got caught up after club match play and play was slow. Barely got done before dark.
Great Course
Challenging but Fair. The greens were very Fast that day. If the greens were just a little slower, it would have been even more enjoyable.
TPC Does it Again!
Great course is great shape. The greens rolled true and at a good speed. They weren't fast, but they weren't slow either. They were firm though and you couldn't stop and stick or spin back approach shots very often. Most approach shots rolled out at least 10 feet. The course design is good. The conditions are great, like all the other TPC Courses I've had the privilege to play. Very green lush grass and great bunkers with plenty of sand. I played for around $100 and that is a great value for this course/facility.
Great staff and course design, average maintenance
Enjoyed my time at the course but the bill was a tough one to swallow. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Course layout was excellent. Course conditions were good but could have been better for the price.
