Desperado(9 holes)--target golf, Outlaw(9 holes)---bad condition

The course layout is OK.
Desperado--(some holes, you cannot see the landing area. you
may have to play a few round there to have a feel.
Brings a lot of balls.

Outlaw-- wide open, poor fairways.

overall, this course is over valued.

Easy to get to

played desperado first in great condition. played outlaw second nine. Fairways need a lot of help; greens were in good shape though. Driving range was closed for mowing when we got there for our tee time and didn't get to warm up.

Excellent course conditions

100% turf coverage on the greens, fairways were in great shape, tee boxes were generally good a few were uneven. Overall the course conditions were outstanding. The staff outside was extremely friendly, the pro shop guys were a little stuffy. Not to friendly. The girls in the restaurant/bar were very friendly. The bev cart girls made sure to tell us when they were leaving to make sure we got everything we needed.

OK. TPC las vegas (Canyons course) wanna be

lots of holes down a canyon with a number of forced carries, sometimes on 2nd or 3rd shot as well. Outlaw conditioning was terrible - fairways in poor shape, plus it seems like nobody ever fixed a ball mark, ball hops and hops on putts all over the place. And greens show lots of old unfixed ball marks (days old trying to recover).

Diablo conditioning was not bad, except for all the ball marks on the greens.

Definitely helps to play with local knowledge person or examine the course map that can be bought in pro shop.

Staff except for Ranger is very very nice and really do try to take care of you. Ranger is inconsiderate and intolerant of the handicapped.

I'd say that playing desparado and diablo are the recommended play. Outlaw is easy and in terrible condition.

Great Course

Badlands course was in good shape. Some fairways needed over seeding but nothing too serious. Beautiful views. Greens a little firm. Pace of play somewhat slow but understandable for this type of course. Very friendly staff.

Badlands-Outlaw/Desperado

Good conditions with the exception of spotty fairways on Outlaw...looked like winter kill from last season that still hasn't healed. Greens were in great shape and quick. Only complaint was course charging a $25 rider fee for a non-playing guest.

Very different design between courses

Desperado very tight driving compared to much more open layout on the Outlaw. Fairways on the Outlaw were much poorer condition than Despedero. Greens on both courses were smooth and fair.

I'd skip this one!

The Diablo nine was in very nice condition and challenging without having blind shots. The Desperado nine was full of blind shots and ridiculous holes, not to mention fairways in very poor condition. They put us out behind 3 fivesomes which made the day very long as well.

Picturesque

This was one of the most scenic courses I have ever played. Most holes were not a challenge unless you veered from the fairways. Off of the fairwy you will be in gravel or an arroyo so I would just pick up and place my ball on a fairway. Some holes were a good challenge but these were the most scenic. I loved this course so much that I played it two days later instead of playing somewhere else.

Very challenging and beautiful dessert setting. Requires strong directional control of shots to stay in play.

This is probably a really nice course when it is in prime shape. Unfortunately at the moment I played it (Oct. 18) it was in very bad shape......just prior to over-seeding I think. The greens were horribly pock-marked and scarred and the fairways in prime landing zones were really hacked up. It needs some serious TLC and recovery and then I am sure it will be a great experience.

I love this place

The course was in great shape. The workers are friendly and helpful. I had never played there when it wasn't windy so playing on a calm day made it only a little easier. It is a great test. Some holes there is no bail out location.

pro level greens fast and intense slope.

I played at 1107 with 2 nice members, target golf with great views. The course was in great shape and the weather was perfect. I will play again when I return to vegas again.

Condition was not up to par

The course was challenging, but poorly maintained. Fairways and tees were rough, fuzzy, with bare spots. Tough for the first time player to visualize some of the holes. For example, one guidance on the GPS was "left of rock is trouble". Lots of rocks, so difficult to visualize.

Greast course! Really enjoyed the Desperado/Outlaw sides.

The course was great-especially for the golfnow deal of thirty-nine bucks! I would give it a 5 star but some of the tee boxes have been overseaded and not come in yet so look a bit raggedy, but who cares about tee boxes! The course itself and the greens were 5 star. Would play again any time for this deal!
