beautiful course
course has lots of hazards and it was a little windy when we played but would come again.
Played Outlaw -- quite easy - and Diablo -- more difficult. Nice view and landscape, but found the reviews better than the overall experience.
Given the reviews, I was expecting this to be over the top, but I enjoyed other courses (e.g. Paiute and Bear's Best) much more. Outlaw course was a good warm up but fairly easy, and Diablo much more challenging. Diablo was a course you need to have played more than once to score well as even if knew distances, you could easily get into trouble due to some hazards not evident. Course was in pretty good shape for the season. Maybe it needs a second time around to fully assess it.
Great Golf Course
Overall experience was great... staff was very efficient and respectful. Diablo course is challenging with some great views. Desperado's second hole needs a bell to let the next group know when is safe to hit... we almost hit the group in front of us.
Love the wildlife all over the course but most of the greens are in bad shape due to their waste and ball marks not fixed... lots of rabbit and bird turds all over the greens specially the 9th hole on desperado, that is the worst green.
Well maintained, very challenging course, nice friendly staff.
I found the course to be very challenging, but was a little disappointed that the fairways ran out so short from the tee box on the par 5's. It kind of takes the fun out of the hole, when you can't hit driver off the tee on a par 5. The par 4's were about the same, I was only able to hit driver on about 3 or 4 holes, and I was playing from the blue tees. I'm not a particularly long hitter, and only average about 245 through the air. However, if you like a challenging course, where you have to make the right club selection to have a good shot into the green, then this is the place for you.
challenging golf course
very challenging golf course
very pleasant desert course
we come back with pleasure
I loved it!
Field in excellent condition! Field is very interesting, fairly complex. Now this is my favorite field.
Most FUN I've had losing that many balls !!!
Played "Outlaw - Desperado" pairing, Really fun course, entertaining, challenging & very different! Course knowledge is huge here... Maybe buy a yardage book =) Tees & fairways are nice ( especially for mid winter ) GREENS were pretty good, receptive to shots and rolled true! Only downside was Millions of UNFIXED ball marks on greens, that's resort golf for ya! I'll go back soon, I HOPE!
A great challenge with some magnificent holes
You can play any of the three 9 holes courses and be challenged with a layout that is second to none.
vegas golf trip
Played here it was good, staff was friendly BUT you CAN NOT miss the fairways here ! Super tight course so if you have trouble controlling your ball off the tee maybe pass on the badlands. As far as service and scenery you wont be disappointed as it was great all around. Played with a member which was helpful on where to hit, but a little too much "landing pad" golf for me even though i scored well, birdies are accessible but will disappear quickly with lateral drops missing the fairways!
Great course in you like target golf
Very hard course leave driver in bag most holes, and bring a lot of balls.
Target golf at its finest!
Took some friends out for their first time. Watching them search for wayward golf balls was well worth it. Love this course.
Great shape from tee to green
would recommend this course while visiting Las Vegas
Very nice course
Tough course had a great time. Having course knowledge will be helpful next time I visit. Thank you for being so accommodating.
Bring your "A" Game or Several Balls!
This is the second time I have played this course. They have three nines, but I played Diablo and Desperado both times. Course is a desert course with a lot of forced carries over gullies, ravines, and deep washes. Fairways feel very tight, with little room for error. I think they are a little more forgiving than they look, but I certainly did not find them! It is a beautiful course and well maintained and the staff is both friendly and helpful. One suggestion might be to put you ego up and move forward one set of tees. The course plays farther than the card says because of uphill landing areas. Very exciting golf course, and a great way to clean your bag out of those balls that you wouldn't normally play! Good luck, but you will have fun.
Great layout
Most holes were very challenging. Diablo was tough, Outlaw was less difficult. Greens were in very good shape except a couple. Fairways were a little bit "Scruffy" with some bare spots. If you are not very accurate with tee shots, I suggest moving up on the tee box and put away the driver!
Note, all through the course there are signs not to disturb the desert waste areas, but they are not marked as hazards!
Unique course, but expect to wait
I played in a three some and we had a two some in front of us, with a five some in front of them. After waiting 5+ minutes to hit every single shot, we called the pro shop to tell them about the five some and they were completely indifferent. They also went so far as to say that they allow five somes (which I know is not true because I have worked in the golf industry for 6+ years). They didn't even bother to send a ranger to speed up pace of play. The two some in front of us started hitting 9-10 balls, thus making us wait even longer to hit a shot. The pro shop handled the situation in the most unprofessional way possible, which is unfortunate considering the golf course is fun and uniquely challenging.
very scenic course
What a beautiful course I got a deal rate of $25 and it would have been worth it to just ride in the cart Let alone play the course. The pace of play was great. I started at 1230 and done by 4pm. Weather was low 60's with little breeze and all sun
Tough but fair.
Badlands was very enjoyable. The courses are all different in difficulty and style making it enjoyable. The greens are a little slow but that may be due to the cold weather. Most off the course lies cannot be played due the rockiness of the terrain, but the fairways are reasonably wide on most holes. Leave the driver in the bag on most holes.
Nice course for the money
Good course it has some really nice canyon views, course pace was slow.
Challenging/beautiful
Not for the novice or even average player.....take lots of balls.
