Las Vegas National Golf Course
About
A traditional golf course in the land of faux waterfalls, shooting fountains and mountains, Las Vegas National Golf Club is actually part site of Tiger Woods' first win on the PGA Tour.
Las Vegas National was part of the rotation of the Las Vegas Invitational when Woods broke onto the Tour in 1996. Tiger actually won the Las Vegas Invitational (then a 90-hole, multi-course event) with a final round 64 on the private TPC at Summerlin track, erasing David Love III's four-stroke lead.
Average hackers will find a course with plenty of trees in the desert and five inventive par 3s that give National much of its character. This isn't desert golf. It's old school golf with palm trees and sand.
It is also very close to the Strip, just a few turns and about a 10-minute drive away. The area's built up around it with fast-food shops, but the Rat Pack era style remains alive within Las Vegas National's grounds.
"As you pull into the lot at Las Vegas National, the sense of the sixties is evident in the rectangular pastel colored stucco clubhouse that might have seemed modernistic back then, but now is a charming reminder of an architecturally dated style," TravelGolf.com writer Doug Saunders said.

Course condition is better
I play this course three to four t i mes a year and it seems it's in better condion than the last time I played. The only issue is I wish players would fill there divots in the fairways. I was in a,coyple old divots not filled at least three times.
Nice course
I enjoyed the round. Staff was nice and pace of play was good. Course was in good shape.
Wonderfully
Awesome course.
Excellent fairway and green condition.
Very friendly staffs.
Fun to visit at least once
Pleasant, quirky somewhat historic course.
Nice conditions for January.
Fun little plaques along the course telling which celebrities used to live in the houses and other fun facts.
There's definitely better and more spectacular golf in Vegas but I tecommend visiting once
Good Old Fashion Golf
Vegas National played its usual good conditions with medium green speed again. GReens could have been a little faster, after playing some " desert courses", these caused me to leave a few putts short. Fairways and rough in usual good and penal conditions. ENjoyed round and the course again. Staff could be little more friendly and smile more. THanks
course layout
A flat course with several long holes but not too elaborate a layout, but not bad
Returned for Second Year
A friend and I "snowbird" in Las Vegas for the last two years. Played this course last year and enjoyed several rounds. Our first round of this year was very enjoyable. Fairways are in excellent condition and greens are in good condition. Staff is friendly and we enjoyed a couple adult beverages in the dated but clean clubhouse. Definitely a course to try if in Vegas.
Would play this course again
Course was in great condition , staff was friendly. Would definitely recommend this course!
Great time. Golf with 2 older Korean women.they golf fast and could communicate.
Marhsall Needed
I was really looking forward to playing a course with such great history. We had to hit off mats and the pace of play was horrible. I started playing at 12:45 and we had to rush the last 4 holes and finished in the dark
Great fairways
Early morning tournament combined with a frost delay caused our round to start about an hour late. That stuff happens. I suggested to the pro shop staff that a couple buckets of complementary range balls would ease our pain of waiting, LOL. Not a chance, which I thought was a little strange. The lady in the lounge made us 4 great Caesars to go and we headed outside . starter and outside staff were awesome. Understanding that they were running behind they delivered 4 large buckets of free range balls and told us they would get us out on the course as quick as possible. Range and practice facility were fine. Once we got playing thought the golf course had a great layout. Fairways were awesome.Bunkers had great sand. Greens were very slow but we had played bears best previous day and they were lightning . the best 4 par 3's on one course in my recent memory. Pace of play was fine under the circumstances. Short cab ride from Las Vegas strip hotels priced very reasonably . I would play again.
Nostalgic
This is one of the oldest golf courses in Las Vegas and it is so challenging. The staff are very friendly. You have to play here
Late Start but got in 16 Holes
Saw a great deal on Golf Now for $10.00 plus booking fee and hd to grab it. Glad I did. Arrived at ourse 20 mins before 1:00 tee time but was told of frost delay from that morning so had to wait 20 extra mins.
Once stated round went great at a good pace. Started off on 10th for times sake and worked out great. Greens were in good shape with very few ball marks and rolling fast and true. The greens also held most well hit approach shots but a couple rejected ones that should have held.
Was paired with a couple of out of towners who also enjoyed the course. Good deal for the money I would have gladly paid more. Will return!
