A traditional golf course in the land of faux waterfalls, shooting fountains and mountains, Las Vegas National Golf Club is actually part site of Tiger Woods' first win on the PGA Tour.
Las Vegas National was part of the rotation of the Las Vegas Invitational when Woods broke onto the Tour in 1996. Tiger actually won the Las Vegas Invitational (then a 90-hole, multi-course event) with a final round 64 on the private TPC at Summerlin track, erasing David Love III's four-stroke lead.
Average hackers will find a course with plenty of trees in the desert and five inventive par 3s that give National much of its character. This isn't desert golf. It's old school golf with palm trees and sand.
It is also very close to the Strip, just a few turns and about a 10-minute drive away. The area's built up around it with fast-food shops, but the Rat Pack era style remains alive within Las Vegas National's grounds.
"As you pull into the lot at Las Vegas National, the sense of the sixties is evident in the rectangular pastel colored stucco clubhouse that might have seemed modernistic back then, but now is a charming reminder of an architecturally dated style," TravelGolf.com writer Doug Saunders said.

Good Value
Nice course for the price. Moderately challenging. Friendly staff.
I felt a sence of history
Visiting from N.Y. It made my trip. From being met as I arrived and told stories of Dean Martins house and the filming of scenes from casino was exciting. I rented clubs which were a brand new set of Taylor Made Speedblades and two sleeves of balls ,tees, towels and ice water! The greens were in great condition and the sand in the bunkers was the best I ever played out of. The history of all the greats who walked these fairways including Tiger made me feel special!
Thought it would be nicer
There are a lot of great courses in Vegas so I pretty much doubt I'd play here again, but it is not that bad for a muni course. Pace of play was ridiculous and the staff was a little less than friendly (though that doesn't really matter to me). It was above average but nothing to write home about.
nice and close to strip - older course nice layout
I enjoyed my round and the company of the group I joined up with. Good pace of play and nice and close to the strip where I was staying. I would go back , great value for your money.
A RatPack Track
This is a great little course near the strip. It reminded me of old Vegas. I could see Sinatra and Dean playing back in the day. Great value for the price.
Las Vegas National
I found the course for this time of year to be in good condition. The staff is very friendly. Overall we had a great time and would certainly do it again.
Player friendly golf course
Really enjoyed playing the golf course. I thought it was challenging for me with the fast greens. I would play the course again

Nice course. Very friendly staff. Close to the strip. Very good value. Going back to Vegas in July, will definately play again.
Typical residential golf layout
Staff were friendly, conditions where good, green we're slow but true. Although this is a different urban golf course for Vegas. Very typical layout that you will find in many southern us cities. Good value considering its location. Only $15.00 cab ride from north part of the strip.

Nice course with a couple of challenging holes. Would play here again next time in Las Vegas.

Very goo shape
Course was in great shape, greens were well maintained very smooth and true.

Not quite the course that Tiger once destroyed as a pro.
I played this course fairly often when I lived in Vegas. Coming back 8 years later, I found the course to have slipped into the ranks of mediocrity. The layout isn't bad. The conditions were reasonable, but not what you would expect from a former PGA stop, in the winter no less! The price was OK for the time of year. It is still a very playable course...it's just...."the old grey mare ain't what she used to be"

This is a nice track
I enjoyed the course and staff was very friendly. The weather was not very good it rained the whole round, but I had the course to myself. 3 hours for 18 holes that's always fun.
old school
love this course, trees everywhere, in good shape, frost delay slowed the pace all day
The par threes were over 200 yards from the tips with large white sand traps protecting a rolling shot. The fairways were generous.
I would love to play this course again! I think it would be easier the second time around.
Nostalgic
Great experience even though there was a frost delay. The course is challenging and yet fun. The course is in great condition and all the staff deserves praise.

Traditional layout. Fun course to play. Very good condition, and very handy to LV Strip. Rental clubs were good. Pace of play was very good as we started at 8 am. Will recommend to friends and hopefully will play again on next trip to LV.
