Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run

The only issue I had was there were 2 groups in front of us that were playing together — a six-some that was split up after teeing off. Even though they played as 2 groups, they continued conversing whack and forth the whole round slowing down their play tremendously. There were several holes open ahead of them and no ranger was out directing traffic. Made for a slow round of almost 5 hours.

On the bright side, the course is in good shape and the greens have come back nicely from aerification 3 weeks ago.

This is a solid course with good routing but the pace of play was a serious impediment to a fun day. They easily could have had a ranger on the course to move a few groups along. No beverage cart is probably more a statement on todays lack of individuals willing to work but when it’s almost 100 degrees it seems someone could have driven around and made $100 in tips

Excellent track. Well maintained. Greens are almost fully healed after aeration.

Generous fairways, challenging green complexes while capturing low country golf through the pines!

Fun track but the green were just sanded and still bumpy from being punched a few weeks ago.

My wife and I love this course and the staff. Tee boxes could be in better shape but the greens and fairways were very nice.

Found the course and excellent edition very challenging but yet very fair. But highly recommended if you’re into Hilton head area enjoy one of the golden Bears designs very good. Good value for the. Money

Played the course 2 weeks after the greens had been punched and they rolled okay. Some tee boxes were very burnt and dead. Staff was friendly. My overall experience was good, but after seeing other courses on the island. I would suggest to a friend to just spend the xtra $30-$50 on a round for a better course. Not much challenge to the course.

This is the fifth time I've played the course since starting in the 1990's. It's a nice layout with beautiful surroundings. The greens were not great this time, but they were aerated within the past two weeks and we were warned of this by Golf Now at their website. Also, a few of the tee boxes were not in good shape. Although there was hardly anyone on the course the afternoon that we played, an extremely slow threesome was right in front of us which gave my wife and I a frustrating round. We never saw one ranger the entire day, and it would have been nice if they had used one to speed up the play.

Would rather play this course than some of the much more expensive courses in the area. Carts don’t have gps or yardage but other than that it was amazing. 10/10 would recommend.

This course has a fun layout, but is a bit pricey in my opinion. Especially for the rental clubs. Without rentals, it’s a good experience for a decent price

My son and I played and had a great day.. course in very good condition and greens were superb. Alway play here when I am in HHI.

Staying on HH for the week, the courses there are crazy prices, saw Golden Bear for $65 and thought it would be a course in bad shape, was I wrong. Gated community, beautiful course, everyone there was super nice, carts fairways, greens, all in super shape. Don't waste your money paying huge prices on the island, travel a couple miles for this diamond in the rough.
