Two of us played nine holes at 4:40 p.m. we had the course virtually to ourselves. The course was in perfect condition. Jack would have been proud.. The course was beautiful all the tall pines. We're going to play it again next week 18 holes. Okay well

Golden Bear is a good course for amateur golfers

It is not particularly difficult with few hazards to carry!

The greens were in very good shape!

Staff was extremely helpful and pleasant!

For vacation golf I would give it a thumbs up!

Golden Bear Golf course was a disappointment.

We were very disappointed with this course. The staff on the clubhouse was not friendly as we checked in.

We were rushed to tee off as they were ahead of schedule. Our tee time was chosen as it was the time that suited vs an earlier time.

The cart paths were rough with many potholes.

Some of the women’s tees were weedy.

We had never played at this course before. There was not a map of the tees /fairways either in the cart or on the score card.

Generally, we were very under whelmed by this course. We will not return and I would not recommend to others.

Layout and Fairway Grass

The experience at GB was fantastic. The layout was fair and gettable. I played the gold tees (6150)which were too short for me, but played with some non frequent golfers so I moved up to keep pace of play. Finished round in 4 hours which I was expecting longer based on reviews I had read. Overseeded fairways were a joy, and that alone was worth the extra money to play the course (compared to others nearby). I can’t wait to play again from the longer tees (6650)

Great Course

The weather was Perfect. I played with a father & son from MI and they were great to play with. Staff was friendly and the course was in excellent shape for late March. The course was challenging but not too hard. I highly recommend the course and will be going back next year.
