About
Jack Nicklaus designed the golf course at the Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run. The 18-hole, public course is touted as having one of the best layouts in the area. The par-72 course offers 7,014 yards of challenging and fun golf. Golden Bear Golf Club at Indigo Run's design emphasizes strategy rather than power. Sand and water hazards add interest to the course. In addition to providing a great game of golf, the course also has picturesque scenery with the many oaks and pines that snake though the course. It has been named one of America's Top 100 Courses priced under $100.

nice course
very nice layout and facilities...I got there a little early and starter suggested going out right away, which I agreed to, however a little warmup and putting green time would have helped my score.. would play again.

Very good experience
Staff very friendly and helpful. Best I have ever encountered. Interesting course. Challenging, but fair. There are plenty of tee options for golfers of all skill levels.

One of the best on HH
To date, probably my favorite course that I've played on HHI.
Superb conditions - manicured fairways, tee-boxes and greens.
Like many courses on HH, it's cut out of a pine forest so it's quite tight, but it always seemed fair, never too restrictive, room to hit.
Better value for money than some of the other upscale HH courses

Nice course
Course is in good condition. Staff is very friendly. Food was good. Maybe a little on the pricey side for the layout.

One of My Favorites on HHI

Overall okay
Course was in good/okay condition. Layout good. Staff good. Pro shop has bare necessities. Greens okay. Fairways okay.

Beware of slow play
First, the good news…the entire staff was super friendly. The GM was really helpful. Back nine holes are more open and scenic. Clubhouse is gorgeous. Chipping and putting areas are well laid out.
Challenges:
- No food available due to member guest outing. Expected to get a breakfast sandwich or something to eat afterwards, so left the course really hungry.
-Only saw beverage cart girl once.
- Tee boxes need attention, as do the greens
- fairways have invasive grass, so tough to deal with depending on your lie
- Biggest criticism is slow play. Marshall literally did nothing to keep play on pace.
For the money, I expected better. Too many other good courses in area to get premium rates.

Average Course
Course is average. I would not play it again due to the price. It is not worth north of $100 to play. It is like a muni in Dallas, not much better.

Cut the rough
Overall, the course layout and condition is not bad. Different type of grass (especially the rough) than what I am used to in NJ. When the ball misses the fairway, even by a foot, you will need a GPS to locate your ball. The rough need to be cut so that we can see at least the top 1/4 of the ball. It got to be so frustrating looking for balls. We played other courses like Palmetto, and this was not an issue there.

Played GB many times but never via GOLFNOW. Love the course and staff. Had a 3:20 tee time but got out earlier. Great weather day.
