Oyster Reef Golf Course

Made my tee time 5 days in advance and was NOT told they were aerating the course. A very disappointing experience.

We played about a week after the course was aerated. The greens still had lots of sand and were very bumpy. We paid a reduced rate because the course was still recovering. The course was a good value for the rate we payed but if paying the normal rate, I would look to other courses in the area. The layout was nice with many doglegs. To go low, one needs to be able to work the ball both ways. The course is cut through a forest which creates a beautiful cart path that winds amongst the pines with a wonderful scent of pine. A cart was brought to us as we were unloading our clubs and we were able to drive the cart to our car at the end of the round. This was nice and much better than the fuss of having to give your clubs to an attendant to clean them and bring them to the bag drop. I prefer to handle my own clubs. Likes: Pine forest, scent of pine, layout, able to drive cart to car and handle own clubs. Dislikes: no beverage cart, no GPS units in carts, Price if paying rack rate no a good value.

Made a reservation about 5 days prior to the tee time and course provided no notice of aeration.

The course is interesting enough but very poor firm on the part of management.

Played it just after serration so putting was awful. Bumpy and inconsistent. Bunker sand was heavy. I’ll try again when it’s in better condition. Tough to judge now.

Really like the course layout. Very fair. Disappointed in the course conditions due to aeration of the greens and fairways. Hope to play it again under better conditions.

It was a challenging, but friendly course from the white tees. It’s just a shame I didn’t catch it before the aeration. I was offered my money back, but I chose to play the course.

My husband and I very much enjoyed our time at Oyster Reef. From the cart person to the starter could not have been more friendly and making sure we had all the course information and needs met. We are not accustom to humidity which was a little challenging but our waters and ice chest on the cart were full. That helped. The south has beautiful landscape and the course was really pretty.

I messed up and arrived at the wrong tee time. The pro shop instantly found me a great time. Everyone was friendly, and the course was in great shape. The pro shop advised me that the greens had been sanded and aerated.

Well conditioned course. Pace of play was decent considering Holiday traffic . Friendly staff

Great layout. Greens were a little tough looking and a couple tee boxes were torn up but staff was great. Pace of play was average to a little slow. Course layout, fairways, rough and bunkers were outstanding.
