About
Located in Florida’s oldest city, Royal St. Augustine Golf & Country Club offers a glimpse of the area’s lush foliage and native marshlands. The course has a visually interesting layout with elevated, sprawling greens and a variety of bunker shapes and sizes. The moguled fairways and sandy waste areas are two other distinguishing features of the course. It is a tight course with large greens and gentle undulations. The layout provides a “target-golf” experience that puts a premium on accuracy and distance control. The numerous bends in the course in combination with the blustery winds also makes proper club selection very important.

Nice little vacation spot
Hello,
This is the third golf course I’ve been to. Its a nice mid sized course with beautiful trees and scenery. The fairway and greens are in pretty good shape. The hills in the fairway added a bit of challenge to the experience. The starter staff there was wonderful!
Went here on vacation. Would come again if i lived in the area.
Yikes!
Where to begin. Guy in the pro shop was nice. Course however has been ignored and needs a lot of attention. Driving range was all sand. Tee boxes for the most part were okay. Fairways were overgrown. Greens were decent except for a couple that have been infested.

Decent course, rough shape, above and beyond service.
Course was pretty rough, greens had quite a few weeds, fairways and Tee boxes needed water. Workers there were super friendly, Mike the marshall was awesome, I would go back just to talk with him. Not much of a golf selection for public courses in St. Augustine area.
Great Layout, Horrible condition
Course track was really challenging but the condition was horrible. T boxes were mostly a little grass and sand. Fairways were not grassy at all. This course if the conditions were good it would be an awesome track to play. Very challenging. Many dog legs. Could be a real fun course to play. Staff was nice but pack your muscles to load your own bag and find someone to tell you where #1 tee box is. Met some really nice people after the play at the bar.
Great Round
Was great. Took my time and wasn’t rushed. Course was in great shape.
A good challenge
This is a tight course with challenging holes. It is spread out in a residential community, so there is a lot of driving between holes.
Shot placement is paramount
We were paired with a man who was very familiar with the course and that was the best thing to happen, because if you don't know the course, count on at least ten more strokes. Overall the course could be considered average, but if they don't get the poanna under control, the course will deteriorate quickly.
Great course for the money
Very enjoyable course. Not an easy course if you have never been there. Long distance between some of the tees. Course was in decent shape for coming out of winter time. Greens still need the first mow, but we're sanded and rolled pretty true.
Tough layout
If you can hit your long irons straight, stick with your long irons off the tee box
