Royal St. Augustine Golf and Country Club

Cool and blustery winter day at Royal St. Aug. Fairways and tees in decent shape, greens thin and not holding.

RSA is always a challenge no matter the time of year or conditions.

A few patches of weeds in fairways or else you would be hitting off of dirt. Greens not only are bumpy as heck, because of grass patches but totally inconsistent speed.

Rocket scientist behind the counter didn't care when you teed off or whether or not you were playing with anyone. Here is your key and go when you are ready?? My tee time players ended up showing up after I had started. Caught up on 3rd hole. Zero Maintenance throughout the course. Thank god it was a Golf Now super deal or I would be super angry.

I like the course as it has it all... trees, water, slopes, and sand. Except directions. The signage to go from one hole to another is confusing. Several times, we found ourselves turning around. The pace of play was great the first nine, but the 2nd nine, got a bit slow. All areas of the course were in good shape. Would definitely play there again but would have my GPS course map open and ready to get me headed in the right direction.

Definitely a must do! Course is amazing and so was staff. Course is super tight with many hills. Great exercise and be sure to bring extra balls! There is no forgiveness here!

Good course. Challenging on some holes if you’re not center you’ll roll off into lots of bushes. Keep ‘em center! Lots of water to go over = fun. One minor negative..not all holes are marked with the yards.

The course is very challenging with water on many holes and most fairways sloping towards the water or the woods.

Only problem is finding your way around the course. Not very well marked with directions to holes and significant distance between holes.

We thought the course was fun, enjoyed the layout through neighborhoods and the conditions were fine. Great course for $27 a round.

Quality of course is poor We saw cart girl on first hole & never again Their was one water depot & that was it !!!! It’s a $25 course at best With the crowned fairways,u can hit a straight drive & it may run off into marsh Their are as many dirt spots as grass As a 10 handicap will not return & not sure a 30 handicap would either It’s too bad because conveniently located

Nice track, off-season condition is better than most.

Course was a wreck. Muddy. No rakes for the bunkers. Divots everywhere on the fairways. Greens so soggy my ball would embed an inch into the ground. Oh, and we had to start 20 minutes after our scheduled tee time.

Course was not well maintained. Fast greens. Starter kept commenting on us being late teeing off 5 minutes before our time, but we didn’t hold anyone up. Very tight, you will lose balls
