About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Couldn't be better
The greens and tees were great. I play winter rules because it's winter. Very few courses have perfect fairways this time of year.
Conditions have been phenomenal
Greens have been excellent the past few months. Super smooth fairways.
Good course, good value
Course is in very good condition. Need to have navigation markings from hole to hole marked.
Nice course conditions
This is my first time playing here since they remade the course. They do Ned new carts and the clubhouse needs to reopen but other than that this course makeover was a success.

The course is in the best shape that I have ever seen, you can't beat the quality and value

This course is in good condition
The course is well maintained, especially the greens. It stays fairly dry even after Florida rains. Well.worth playing!
an eventful day
All the carts were soaking wet from a rain shower as we arrived. They gave us 3 hand towels to wipe down the cart as best we could, they did not help. After we got the cart dry, we discovered the brake pedal would not come back up after it was applied. There were no more dry towels so we took the bad cart and had to pull the brake pedal up every time we used it. Then on 15 we had a flat tire. The tire was almost bald and dryrotted. We then tried to call the clubhouse but went to voicemail. We called the resturant and asked them to let the clubhouse know. We waited about 20 minutes for a new cart. When the kid came up, he asked us what we hit. I don't think that was the first words I expected from his mouth. We had to wait our turn to get back into the flow and finish the round. I don't think I will go back due to the staff there. The course was fine for a $40 course, overseeded and the greens were pretty quick.
