About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Nice Course
Wedgefield has gone through changes. the course looked good and played well. The tee boxes were nice, bunkers were clean, and the greens were smooth. They have spent some time and money on making this course stand out and I'll definitely play here again.
Simply an affordable good golf course
Maybe not sexy to make name dropping with Wedgefieild, but this is a Very Very respectable golf course.
Greens are maybe 8 on stintmeter, the sand trap are not white, the fairway is seeded, so , this is a perk of of our 42l last days.
Play it
My New Favorite
I was totally impressed with this course. From check in to finish, everyone I encountered was super friendly and accommodating.
The course was very much like courses I find in the Midwest. From tee to green, everything was as you would expect.
I played with one other person and we played the front side in 1.5 hours, then we ran into the member groups but they still moved well. We finished in 3.5 hours, so we were not displeased.
The one downside for me would be, their driving range, which really was a grassy piece of land that you hit into. They didn't have any distance markers, so it was a guessing games about distances.
Another nice round at Wedgefield
Very nice that they put a hole/small pin on the practice green next to the 10th tee. Get some good putting practice on that green after playing the front 9 just to help get the focus back online for putting.
Improved Drastically
Haven’t been to Wedgefield in about 2 years. And wow is there a big difference in the course conditions. Course was very green, staff was super friendly and nice to my 3 year old caddy. Played a twilight 9 in an hour and had a blast.
Getting better and better
We play 3 times since beginning of October.every time we can see improvements.the fairway and mainly greens are excellent.
For the price, it’s a deal
Nice course but no amenities.
The course conditions were great but there are no water coolers, ball washers, sand trap rakes or trash cans on the entire course.
