About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Slow
Still rough but getting better. SLOW play has been a problem every time play here. Front nine greens good, fairways so so, can't comment on back nine as I have never made pass 11th or 12th hole before giving up because after 3+ hours and waiting to hit every shot, I've given up and called it a day!
Good Value
Nice people, nice layout. It was very busy the day I played, thought it would be agonizingly slow, but some courteous golfers let me play through. Course is continually improving, however the greens are very inconsistent, as some have been rebuilt and look great and some are struggling. Overall pleasant experience.
Really improving
Been a while since I played here, and the improvements are remarkable. A hands-on owner, who is really doing a great job. A little more work is coming to compliment what has transpired, i.e., more new greens.
The restaurant is also very good.
For the money, a great value in Orlando.
Great Course
Great Course for the Money! I had Fun, Played 18 and Met some New Friends!!
Pretty good BUT
Like the layout, greens are nice but always extremely slow-- on the front nine. Problems -real problems happen on back nine. 2 completly different courses. Hole designs are good, However the farther along you get on the back, the worse the greens get. Lots of invasive grasses,dead spots, bare spots, really bumpy, hardly any true rolls. Played here more than a few times this season. If I had my druthers, would play front nine twice and not bother with back.
Has gotten better
This course has had its ups and downs currently the front nine is in real good shape the greens are nearly perfect the back nine there is a lot of weeds on the greens it doesn’t even look like the same course

I hadn’t played this course in 2 years and they have done a lot of good work
The fairways have really been improved. They redid the front 9 greens & 4 on the back. They will finish the other 5 later this year. The greens are so much better. I’ll play this course a lot more
very good course for the value
course was in better condition than most. most fairways were good. some greens on back nine need attention. sand traps need more sand.
Brutal
Had to wait 20 minutes for a cart. Which still did not come and forced to walk the front nine. Greens were weed filled, furry, and patchy. Could see the skeleton of a course that once was, 20 years ago, but would not recommend it to anyone unless you’re out there teaching your five year old to play
Enjoyable round …
A majority of the greens were excellent, maybe the back nine needs extensive attention, overall the course is well laid out , no hold up at all, staff very friendly … Will play there again, good value for money … If you look at the fees of a lot of courses in the area the cost here is excellent …
