Wedgefield Golf Club
About
The course at the Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, although suitable for all golfers, is most appropriate for intermediate players. The affordably priced Wedgefield Golf Club used to be known as Rocket City and Cape Orlando. The course has a classic-Florida style layout with medium sized greens that are guarded by bunkers and fairways lined with cypress trees. There is water on the golf course but it is not a significant factor in the game. However, there is one hole, the par-3 sixth hole that is surrounded on three sides by water. Wedgefield Golf & Country Club, in addition to the course, has a chipping area and putting green as well as a golf school.

Interesting
Have played here a few times this Winter and have enjoyed the layout despite some windy conditions. Greens are consistent and the fairways have more grass than many others in the area. Interesting holes that can be VERY tough with the wind. Good value for the money
Fairways and greens
I play this course at least every two weeks. The fairways are in desperate need of watering now. The greens hadn’t been mowed so they were way too slow. I love the course but I had those complaints for yesterday’s round.
Best Value Around
Course is in such great shape for the price. Tee boxes all have grass, fairways are lush, greens are all very green and roll pretty well.
Went off at 6:45 and was off the course by 10:00. Staff gives you that small family course where they are truly just happy to see you.
Worth every penny and will definitely be back.
Good Value With Limited Amenities
The condition of the course was decent, fair in price and I would come back for those reasons alone. However, the golf carts were outdated, almost drained of power and not in overall good shape. The restaurant is now closed permanently which is a pretty big deal because of the course's rural location. It seems like they are stuck in the "do we charge a bit more and put more money into the course and amenities or do we charge less and get more rounds in". As stated, it's fairly priced and I will be back, but I would prefer to grab a bite to eat and relax with my friends afterwards.
Had not played the course in several years
&. Very surprised by the conditions that were much
Improved. All parts of the course were better.
Good Enough for Peak Season
The course is in decent shape with some of the fairways being a little thin, but the greens were in decent shape and the tee boxes were in good shape. For this time of the year where the rates are really high at pretty much every place in Central Florida, this course has remained at a reasonable price and with the course conditions I would say this is probably the best bang for your buck. This is a steady go-to this time of the year because they’ve been able to maintain the course in decent shape so I’ll definitely be back until peak season is over.
Poor shape
I have played this course many times and it is one of my favorites in central Florida. Unfortunately, the course is in the worst shape I have seen in a long time. Greens have a lot of weeds and do not roll true. Several tee boxes with no grass. Traps with very littles sand. 1 temp green in play going on 9 months now.
Good shape, long, windy conditions.
This course is good, they have done a good job to maintain it. There are some rough spots, greens are a little bumpy and some invasive grass is creeping in. Overall a fun track, some carry shots, water hazards and trees to deal with, all good for game fun.
Windy conditions make the course more challenging, in some cases we had to reset the ball on the green as it was moving.
Wedgefield
I've played the course 2 times. The course was in very good shape. The tees were level, fairways very nice and the greens rolled true with some nice undulations. The lady at the desk was very nice and welcoming. I'll probably play there again soon.

Our only complaint was the pace of play. There was a foursome that was holding up a lot of people, but no ranger to talk to them. we also had an issue with the golf cart. they are old and use gas, very noisy and ruff.
