Mountain Vista Golf Club - Santa Rosa Course

Enjoyed my round of golf at this course! Have played here several times.

Upkeep on the course has to be ongoing because it's in excellent condition. Everyone so friendly. Reasonable rates. 3 putting greens and practice areas. Wide fairways (which I need) Will return

This course is easy to play and would have probably been pretty fun but it rained all day (yes this occasionally happens even in the Desert) and the conditions were not good. I look forward to going back when conditions are more normal. Greens, fairways, etc. were in good condition but everything, including us, was soaked (and cold).

Close to everything in Palm Desert - really good facilities; excellent conditions.

Very playable course with challenging greens but overall fair fairways. Thoroughly enjoyable course that I intend to play again as well as the other 18 hole course.

We are two couples out on vacation and found a deal for this course, so we gave it a try. There were very few other golfers on the course, so we were never hurried. There is no "quick" lunch options, so we had a sit down lunch at the turn. We were trying to eat in a hurry, but the marshall came by our table and assured us that we were fine. Two negatives: 1) No beverage service on the course. 2) No hole graphics on the card nor tee box, so watch out, there are a couple of holes with water that is hard to see. I drowned one ball with what I thought was a good drive.
The course itself was pretty open, fast greens in reasonable condition, and a few really long holes, in particular on the back side. It was really fun to play at a relaxed pace with the ladies along, and the course and the staff made the outing very enjoyable. I'd like to go back soon!

Superb challenge off the tips, fantastic value excellently maintained course, just be advised to check wind forecast before booking, otherwise my number one choice in the desert!

Enjoyed the course tremendously and would recommend it any time.

Have played both courses many times through the years. Intend to continue doing so.
There was a mix up with the reservation, caused by the booking site which, was worked out to satisfaction by the pro shop desk attendants. Much appreciated!

The round , as usual, was enjoyable!

No grass driving range during the week I guess. No cart person. Restaurant was on the turn of another course. The course condition made up for it. Pretty wide/rough is not too tall/greens fair/tee boxes level. And the course sits below the houses so the wind doesn't affect the ball as much as some other courses. We got paired up with a twosome that was very slow and no one came to check. He shot like a 150 easy.

If you are looking for a good golf course at a reasonable price,this is the place to go .Good conditions, 4 sets of tee's for all handicap levels,nice greens and very friendly staff.

This golf course is worth playing.4 :15 min awesome

I spent a tremendously enjoyable morning on the Santa Rosa course... I came as a single, and was partnered with two friendly gentleman, one local, one from the SF Bay area. We were off early in the morning, and got around in approximately 3 1/2 hrs. The course was in ideal condition, obviously well-maintained. I didn't have time to stop for refreshments afterward, but have no doubt that they would have been as lovely as the course itself.

There is NO ONE to direct the visitors, to take cars , to take scorecard , to show where water is, etc...
We literally had to clean the cars before taking them.
One wonders if there is anybody working there.
Course is well maintained, but not challenging .
Not worth the money.

I have played a lot of courses in and around the palm springs area, and after playing this one for the first time I was very impressed. the value for the dollar is great, the course is challenging and in great shape. I would definitely recommend it!

good course, good condition and good pace of play. Will be back.

Try it; you'll like it! After playing 6 rounds over 6 consecutive days, it was good to play an easier course!

Best of all the courses we have played out here this year.
