River Oaks Golf Club stretches across more than 800 scenic acres along the Intracoastal Waterway. The Course begins with the shortest of the three nines and finishes with the longest. The final hole on the front nine presents one of the most interesting risk-reward opportunities on the golf course. You can aim for the right bunker for an open shot at the green or try a long drive down the left side for a short approach. River Oaks Golf Clubs' Otter nine has several challenges in store including mounding, strategically placed bunkers, and tricky water hazards.

Great staff fun course
Everything from the pro shop to check in was top-notch. The starter was great. We are two slow groups ahead of us, but it was a great experience yet Was still a great time

Course was in good shape. Greens were bumpy which we learned was caused by the cold weather during Jan and Feb. Definitely will play course again.

Good course with some interesting Holt's but the greens are almost unputtable.

Didn't post my 1st review.
Greens aren't greens, they're bumpy sporadic poa and weeds and dirt.
Not even close to being worth the fees.
Land has been sold, course closing end of 2025.
Doubt conditions will improve.
Good Day cart kid was rude
Cart kid was rude. Had a little cooler with two water one beer and a banana in it. He was saying I had to bring the cooler inside to the clubhouse ridiculous. Funny part was the twosome we played with had a giant cooler full with a 30 pack in it ..greens were horrible. Some kind of fungus two different kinds of grasses could not putt on them.
No "greens"
Fun place however the "greens" are a mixture of poa, weeds, and dirt.
Shame, understand it used to be in good shape but it isn't now. Once poa takes over you can forget it pretty much.
Unless you enjoy plinko with bouncing thrown in find another place to play.
Good course but greens in poor shape.
This is a nice course with interesting and varied holes but the greens were in poor shape, the back bounced all over.
This course is a lot of fun. Great layout, and in very good shape. Ungulating greens of decent size. That un fortunately are very bumpy. Which is the only drawback.
Nice place well worth the money. Greens could be quicker all tho not slooow.
returned to this course after many years away. Spring golf issues to be expected, tight lies with thin areas in fairways. Greens bumpy and still filling in. Bunkers poorly maintained. No bathroom facilities on the course.
Enjoyable round
Staff were very friendly especially the starter and the lady at the snack bar. It was cold so there weren't very many golfers on the course. That meant I could play as fast as I wanted to and had time to think about what shot and club were needed for each shot.
Nice layout and clubhouse and I enjoyed the round.
The course has seen better days.I’ve played here a lot over the years and always enjoyed it but it seems like there’s not much effort in upkeep.Greens are beat up and weeds in most bunkers which haven’t been raked in ages.That being said I do love the layout
Excellent course
Was a great round of golf. Beautiful day, course was in mostly good condition, a few muddy spots but they told us that before we went out.
OK Course
Staff at course were very pleasant and in general the course was quite playable. However, the greens were not so great - hard to get a true roll and grass was sparse in some areas. Overall, a pleasant experience at reasonable cost.
