Farmstead Golf Club is a 7,242-yard par-72 layout on McLamb Road in Calabash, N.C. and is among the newest courses to open in the Grand Strand. Farmstead also has the unique distinction of having the region's only par 6! That's right, the 740-yard 18th hole is sure to become one of the most talked about in the Grand Strand.
Farmstead was designed by Willard Byrd and David Johnson and features a rare par-6. The 18th hole measures 767 yards from the back tees, as well as 679 from the white and 635 from the ladies' red tees.

Great Course
We had a great time playing this course. It was challenging but also a very good time. The course was in good condition and hole 18 was so much fun to play. We will definitely be back.
Course in great shape
Definitely one of the best courses I've played in North Myrtle / Calabash.
Enjoyable
Fun course. Mostly wide open with a couple of wholes playing tight. Played from the blues, which may have been a little long for me. I’m normally a white tee guy. If you’re not long off the tee, you’ll be hitting plenty of long irons into the green. Pace of play was slow but we were told ahead of time that the course was jammed and to enjoy your game. Will play again, but maybe from the whites
Excellent course ! Will definitely put in rotation.
I am a 7 handicap. Course was in immaculate condition. Fairway well manicured and greens rolled very true and just short of fast. Played from the blue Tee’s at 6055 yrds. Played at 2:00 as a twosome, so course was fairly empty by then. Only group we ran into, let us play through. Only thing I found slightly wrong with the course was that I felt it was very playable. Would have like to seen it be a little more difficult. With that needing said, I will definitely be back to play this course. Facilities were great also.
Condition of course was excellent!
We really enjoyed playing this course again and noticed big improvements on overall condition of greens and fairways from last year. Our favorite course in this year’s visit!
It was my first time at Farmstead. I was hood up with another single as a twosome. He has played the course several times so helped me where to hit. The course was in perfect condition. I absolutely would go back if the price was right. I got a huge discount through golf now. All the staff that I was in contact with were very friendly. I would recommend this course.

Overall conditions were good
Pace of play was was very slow and there was no
Ranger presence. It was also very hot and they did not have a beverage cart out that day.
Great course
Bag drop guys were great! The course has a yardage for all skill levels. Good routing and challenging holes. Course is open with plenty of landing area. Greens were recently aerated and sanded but still held shots and rolled well. The last hole is a rare experience for any golfer. Will certainly play again when we visit.
Great Day!
Excellent layout, greens were a little quick (good!) and rolled true (good as well!), fairways immaculate and cut close and tight! Played as a twosome on a full course in about 4:15, no complaints. Better than average range balls and range was in great shape. I had a great day, even birdied the monster 712yd par 6 18th hole! Hope to come back soon!

A must play
The course was in good shape, especially for this early in the year. As a two some we hardly waited pace was very good. Looking forward to playing again.
Outstanding Course / Great Layout
This is one of the best courses in the North Myrtle Beach / Calabash area. Great course conditions and challenging holes abound. Hole 18 is a nice par 6, which tests your distance and placement skills.
