Farmstead Golf Club is a 7,242-yard par-72 layout on McLamb Road in Calabash, N.C. and is among the newest courses to open in the Grand Strand. Farmstead also has the unique distinction of having the region's only par 6! That's right, the 740-yard 18th hole is sure to become one of the most talked about in the Grand Strand.
Farmstead was designed by Willard Byrd and David Johnson and features a rare par-6. The 18th hole measures 767 yards from the back tees, as well as 679 from the white and 635 from the ladies' red tees.

Its ok
Course is challenging and in good shape. For the money i would play elsewhere in Myrtle Nothing wrong i just think it’s overpriced for the area
Nice play
Beautiful course and friendly staff. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Friendly but challenging. Highly recommend.

My husband - 3 handicap and myself enjoyed this course.
The fairways were over seeded and never had to improve our lie - the greens were good - moderate speed.
Our new go to course when at the beach.
Worth the drive
If you stay in Myrtle you have to play here. Great place.
Great layout and lots of variety of shots and tee boxes to play from. Fairways in good contain, but soft. Greens in good shape. We played on a very very windy day and course had enough width to still be enjoyable.
Course condition
1st day of a 4 day trip and after completing all 4 days it was by far the best for the money and as I see it was a steal. I would recommend you trying this course
The greens were in excellent shape and fairly quick. Pin placements were challenging. Condition of the fairways and rough was good and they were maintained actively while there. Had been awhile since we played there but we will be back.

Some really challenging holes, some easier holes.
A good test, course is more open so likely to get some winds. Greens were great.
Good value
Nice fairways and greens. Wide fairways so very playable. Pace of play was the only downside - 5 hours and teed off at 9.20 on a Sunday.
VERY solid Play
Have played Farmstead many times. Absolutely great layout. It’s Faux links and pretty wide open. However if you hit it in the wrong place or in the traps you are in trouble. Greens are also very difficult to read. The pace of play is a little slow-a little over 4.5 hours but the course is in great shape. The rough is very penal in some areas Bc it is so thick. The greens are awesome and the fairways were great other than being a little wet.
The finishing hole is a par 6 that stretches into two states. And it’s a cool finishing hole. I made a par on it for maybe the first time today. I got my round for $59 on Golfnow and recommend using Golfnow Bc the course website advertises a rate of $95 currently.
Not true links course
Nice course. Tee boxes a little rough due to rain. This may be considered li KS here but not in Europe. Nice course though.
