The tee shot on 14 at Meadowlands requires a golfer's sense of humor to navigate successfully. Photo submitted by TimGavrichGP on 11/07/2018
Great course
Played first time with my dad. Very impressed with course conditions and layout. Course was wet from recent rains thus cart path only which made for lots of walking which was difficult for my dad. So call ahead about cart path rules for the day. Pro shop n bag drop super friendly. Will play again (under drier conditions)
A pleasant Surprise
It has been two years since we last played Meadowlands because we had suffered through a 3-1/2 hour front nine excursion.our last time there.
We were so frustrated that we didn’t even begin to play the back nine.
This time it was the complete opposite...a little over 3-1/2 hours for 18 holes. My kind of golf!
The course was a bit damp because of the heavy rains but was in very good condition from tee boxes to greens. We will play it again soon.
Nice course
Don't play this course If it has rained in last 48 hrs. But nice layout, and a fun day at the course.
Solid beach course
Solid course. Very fair with large, undulating greens. It was very windy the day we played, which is not reflected in my 4* review. What made it tough was the course was poorly marked. Apart from the 200/150/100 yd markers, I only saw one other marker. None of the sprinkler heads I saw were marked like they are on any other course I've played. It left me guessing most of the day. The other knock is the grass around the greens is very tight and somewhat sparse in places. I chip with my LW and don't have a bump and run game. It was tough to impossible around the greens with my LW, because I was forced me to hit into the ball more than usual (which leads to more spin or occasional thin chips).
Great Day
Course was in excellent condition, beautiful greens and pace of place was paramount. Never had to wait. Foursome finished in four hours with sunshine a bit of wind tiring us out but would highly recommend playing this gem....
Nice
Very friendly staff.
Playable course for advanced beginner to low handicap.
Well maintained course.
Excellent Day
Course was in great shape in spite of being a little soggy.
Pleasant surprise
Very good overall experience. The course was set up for a tournament the day I played, but all conditions were exceptional. Greens were fast and well looked after. Course looks and plays like a $100+ round course. Only complaint was relative inaccessibility of driving range due to a “no cart rule”. Fair test for a 10 handicap.
Warm
We played in the hot and steamy early afternoon and found the course wide open, playing in less than 3.5 hours. Greens were true but undulating and very challenging pin placements. Well marked for distances, fairway grass was short but in good shape. The staff was pleasant and we enjoyed the experience. First time but won’t be the last time.
Will play again!
First time on the course. Nice, playable layout. The course was in good condition. Friendly staff.
The course was in great shape, our round was cut short by storms in the area, we will definitely return.
The staff was very helpful and in all areas of the course.
