You need to play here. Seriously.
If you like a fun and yet challenging layout, literally the friendliest staff I’ve ever experienced and pure course conditions then read on. If you don’t like those things then by all means stop right here and go visit a lawn bowling review site.
This course had a Super fun layout. Not going to punish you and make you regret taking up golf, but if you want to light it up you need to hit some crisp shots. If you want to have some easy fun tee it forward or tip it out if you want a test, this course has it all. The par 3s are particularly great, most involving some water, framing the hole nicely. Par 5s are gettable and the 4s offer plenty of variety, shot value and challenge.
The course staff was perfect. You come to Vegas to have a good time and they understand that. We saw the beverage cart basically every 3-4 holes making me think they had more than 1….what kind of sorcery is this? The Bloody Mary was really really good and was made with a smile.
The conditions were immaculate. The greens were rolling true and fast, the tee boxes were level and well manicured, the fairways were pure and the rough was consistent and playable.
Added bonus, this course is ON THE STRIP so you are literally lining up shots with Mandalay Bay as your aim point.
Would 1000% play again.
Bali Hai
Helpful, friendly staff. Course was in good condition. Enjoyed playing this course even though it was windy and cold the day I played
Excellent course
Super location, tee time,. Well maintained, green fast. Will be back.
Fast greens. Great variety of hole layouts. Very scenic. Awesome food in the snack shack. We got behind a fivesome but still played in 4 1/2 hours. Generally enjoyed it a lot.
Great afternoon!
Special thanks to Butch the starter and the rest of the staff for allowing us to tee off on #10 when groups were stacked up on #1. Able to then play the back nine in under 1 1/2 hours and enable us to get our full 18 holes in before dusk. Course in good shape - just a bit pricey at $200 per round.
Great layout
I thought the course had a great layout for the location. Challenging pin spots with some short holes on the front but then it finishes with 2 tough par 4s with 17 and 18. Hole 16 was a bit gimmicky but the pond makes it more interesting. Fun to golf on a short trip to Vegas.
No beverage cart service
After being told at the clubhouse that there were 2 carts on the course, it seemed odd that we didn't see one yet by the 5th teebox. I called the clubhouse to see if there wad a reason and the said they would send her over right away. That is the last time we saw a beverage cart..... For the rest of the 18 holes. We tipped very well, so I'm not sure why they didn't bother coming around again.
Most people playing there are tourists, and probably would like to have a couple drinks while they play. But to see a cat once in 18 holes, and [having to call the civvies to get her to come..... Unacceptable
Nice course near Vegas strip
Overall nice course. Conditions are not bad. Bunker was little bit disappointed because not much sands.
This is a Vegas must!
Another fantastic day out at a Vegas must if you golf. As always, the staff were fantastic, the course was in great shape and the views from every hole were stunning. This is my 3rd round in 2 different seasons ( let’s face it , Vegas only has 2 seasons) and it was wonderful. Put this 18 on your list and enjoy.
Thanksgiving golf trip.
As always Bali was in top condition the greens were like lightning!! The course is challenging but still fair and is one of the best layouts in Vegas, and it’s so close to the strip it’s literally eight minutes from the MGM. And the staff was awesome, it’s just a well run property and I highly recommend it
Value needed
When you pay rack rates for a course in the desert, there should be water on your cart. None on course (Covid), so help out your retail customers and dont stick them with bottled water and retail prices. Silly.
Course is great service and amenities no so much
The good: course has a straight forward layout, beautiful views and well manicured - fun to play, fast greens, good fairways, lots of water features
The bad: for the price there could have been more amenities- no water bottles in cart, no ball washers, no trash cans on course. Staff at desk was pushy to try to add on services, cart died and they tried to blame it on driving too close to the green (we didn’t) and tell us cart is fine, died and staff apologized for not believing us. No one fixes divots on green making it roll untrue. Pace of play slow and got backed up multiple times. Average rate is $349 - don’t expect a lot for this rate if you play, not on par for courses at this rate, look to get a deal if available
Would play again as it was fun but would make sure to get an earlier tee time (we teed off at 1:00 and had to quit on 17 due to being to dark) and would look for a deal.
Nice course but not really worth the price
Bali Hai was in really good shape, it is a tight course, lots of doubling back. Signage is good to keep you on course.
We played early November, course was not overseeded, curious how it would play when grass is all dormant.
Overall the course was enjoyable but pace of play was horrible. We teed off on time, but from there on out we were second group waiting on every single tee box. Marshall came around once at about tee five and said he would get things moving, never happened. If anything it felt like it slowed even more. This ended up being a 5 and a half hour round, very disappointing. Web site shows 10 minute tee times so should have been fine, but I have to wonder how many Casino Hosts ask for a favor and others are slipped in...
Overall not really worth the pretty steep $$ for this course. plenty of other courses in the area.
First but not the last
I played as a single three days in a row before my conference at Mandalay. The staff was incredibly helpful accommodating my schedule and making sure I enjoyed my rounds. I’ll be back with friends.
Super convenient and well maintained
Decent course, well maintained and very convenient. No driving range was a negative.
Enjoyable round!
I hadn’t ever played Bali before and was expecting a relatively flat course. I was very surprised by all the elevation changes and the quality of the course. The best part was that we were paired with Bali Hai golf ambassador, Ray B! What a great guy to play with!
