Poor Condition

Course was in poor condition. Very little to no grass in fairways that felt like potentially they hadn’t been watered anytime recently. For the non- local price I would have expected significantly better course conditions.

Great golf course and location, just needs some TLC

I have played Bali Hai quite a few times over the past 10 years, and I have always enjoyed my rounds there. Not being a local and staying on the Las Vegas strip, this golf course is incredibly convenient as it is literally on the strip itself. The staff has always been friendly, and the amenities around the course are great as well. It's too bad that they do not have a real driving range, but this is to be expected being on the Vegas strip where land square footage comes at a premium. The reason for the 4 out of 5 score during this round is for two key reasons: 1) the green fees for this golf course are pretty outrageous compared to other local Vegas courses. But I guess this is to be expected since it caters primarily to non-locals visiting Vegas and staying on the strip. So all things strip related, you will pay inflated green fees for convenience. And 2) I was surprised that the course conditions were just okay. For $249 and an afternoon tee time, there were many brown spots on the fairway and the greens were kind of beat up. Perhaps after numerous rounds in the am, this is to be expected for the greens by the afternoon tee times. But the brown around the course was surprising. We chatted with the marshall and they told us it has to do with water conservation. I guess that is a reasonable excuse, but despite of it they still charge a premium to play. All that said, I'd still play this course as it has a great layout...just not as often. Some may think that this course is gimmicky since it's tropical themed but in the middle of the desert and on the Vegas strip (just like all things Vegas). But the truth is, this course is actually challenging and legitimate. From the tips you are looking close to 7000 yards which is long and impressive.

Great course with great staff

I would love to see trackmans installed at the hitting bays in the warm up net. Course was great!!! Greens were so pure! I wish people fixed their pitch marks. Staff was amazing. Hopefully You will be lucky enough to get Mary with the heavy foot and heavy hand on the pour behind the bar like we did.

Great Staff!

Wind was blowing at least 30 mph. The greens had a lot of small pebbles and debris. Bunkers were mostly small pebbles and not grains, so risk of scratching clubs.

Right on the strip

We chose this course because we could walk from Mandalay Bay. Everyone working there was super nice and the carts were clean and stocked. We were disappointed with the greens and fairways. Greens had tons of sand repair marks and a lot of ugly spots. Fairways were a little bare in some places and cut so low that there wasn't really any difference between fairways, fringe and rough. Layout was neat but it was distracting having literally 200 jets taking off from the airport right over our heads during our round. Nothing they can do about that but it took some getting used to. With rental clubs we paid around $275 each. Vegas is super expensive and golf was no different.

Incredible views, great day of golf

Golf course was in good shape, especially for February. Very playable. Biggest negative is the prices of drinks, $80+ for a 6 pack of high noons. Staff were great.

What a circus

Got to the course and was told there was no reservation made, even though I showed the person the confirmation email. Wouldn't let us play, then received and email to say that i would be charged for a "No Show".

Terrible service and I would like to be reimbursed for the charges.

Fun round of golf

This was my second time playing Bali Hai. The course is kind of tight with adjacent holes and at times we were meeting players that were on adjacent holes. The course was in decent shape, but the greens were bumpy (ball marks and long turf). The layout is fun and the staff works to make it a fun experience.

Disappointing

The course does not use enough water, the greens are in terrible condition as they filled ball marks and did not repair properly, it’s a bumpy texture. The course is not even close to the green photos as seen on the website, tee times are too close together, ours was 5 minutes apart because starter said we were twosome and then a third person joined us. A lot of inexperienced golfers, balls were flying all over the place. People were hitting into us, it’s not a pretty course as it borders an airport with busy roads and due to lack of water the entire course was very dry, the charge to our credit card in Canadian funds was just over $1,000.00 for two players and it was not worth it. Bali Hai is overplayed and requires better greens keeping. The staff are wonderful and feel bad when I was honest about the course as they asked how we liked it. I didn’t take one photo as I was not planning to write this review. The added player was very nice and helped to make the experience a bit more enjoyable but I truly cannot recommend playing at Bali Hai.

Fun track

This course is a fun track, but has some holes that are close together. The greens were a little beat up when we played, but the overall experience was fun.

Decent if you let it be what it is, which is a resort course in a good location. Easy walk from the south side of the strip. I was short on time and it fit the bill!

-Airport noise wasn’t a big deal

-Rental clubs were nice, full set of 2 year old callaway’s

-Range is a net, but it’s a nice net!

-The mats on par 3’s is super weird but not a day ruiner

-Conditions were fine given I’m sure the course takes an absolute beating

Paid $250 with rental clubs on a Thursday afternoon. You’re definitely paying for convenience but didn’t feel gouged

Bali Hai

I selected Bali Hai due to its location to my hotel but really enjoyed the course. The staff was extremely friendly and the restaurant had a really good breakfast burrito. The course itself was challenging from 25 handicap perspective and some of the views were spectacular.

Beautiful course, average facilities, amazing views!

This was a good golf course. Played in February, so grass was dormant. Perfectly manicured golf course, with level tees, beautiful fairways and fast greens.

There is no driving range, just a short little area to hit balls into a net. Main putting green closed, which left a tiny little area to putt before round. Not great facilities considering the price.

Staff was great, cart girls aplenty and friendly and the food after the round was good. Nice bar area to hang out after. Nice experience overall, but expected a little more considering the price.

Windy day

My only complaints are that the par 3s tee box was so hard, one couldnt use a tee. Also, the cart limitations didnt match the course signs, so my cart would shut down 30 yards before the cart sign said to get off tha fairway
