Amara Golf & Social Club

Course is solid test of golf. Several nice holes. Greens were fairly bumpy compared to other courses in area. Enjoyed the round but would rate Wolf Paiute and Rio Secco higher. Make sure you get a good rate. Would put upper bound of value around $125.

This was My first time playing this course. I would highly recommend it, especially with the discount through Golf Now. I found it quite challenging from the green tees yet fair ( 13.0 handicap ) I loved that each hole was designed after specific ones from Jack Nicklaus designed courses. Each of those were noted faintly on the scorecard where you entered you score so you knew which course they were designed after.

This is a Top 5 MUST PLAY Golf Course in Las Vegas. Every hole layout is far different. There is even one hole that has PINE TREES. Think about that, pine trees, in the desert. That is unheard of, in Vegas. I had an amazing time. Course was just difficult enough. Long from the tips. Greens and pin placement were challenging.

Overall enjoyed the round. Staff is friendly. Only issue is course wasn’t in great shape. Especially the greens which were clearly not well maintained. Still a nice course and awesome layout.

Was very excited to play this course. Didn't bring my clubs this time to Vegas as we where only going to play one round. Got a great price at GolfNow.com.

Rented there clubs and was told they would be M2's so was looking forward to trying these clubs. Wow what a disappointment to find them filthy dirty , Worn grips and even the inserts on 4 of the irons where raised and in very bad shape.

We played on anyway. Told the young man behind the counter when we got back in and in a not so interested manner said he would pass this message along.

For a great golf course and the BEAR'S name all over it, it was a very disappointing experience to golf with $60.00 rentals that maybe you would find at the local pitch and putt.

Cant wait to play this one again. Great golf course in Vegas with views of the strip.

Greens were bumpy and lots of ball marks. But it is February and cold. Otherwise, the layout is just fantastic. Fairways were perfect.

Played on a windy day at 47degrees.

The course was in good condition and has beautiful views.

We were disappointed to hit off the mats on the driving range and the only food available At the turn and at the end of the round was A few day old wraps...kitchen was closed.

Nice course. Decent greens. Got on as a ClubCorp member, so he price was right. The non-resident rate is outrageous, not worth the money.

Pace of play was S-L-O-W. Not a single Marshall in site. We teed off at 8:40. We could see the 3 groups in front of us were waiting. Really ruined the day.

As a member of ClubCorp, I would come back again at the reduced rate. I would never play this facility at the "rack" rate. Way to slow!

While the course is interesting layout the greens were in very bad c9ndition. Ball actually bounced on puts of 10 feet or more. Not worth the fees.

Buy a yardage book so you get the story behind each hole so you'll have an idea of whether you can reach or carry the fairway bunkers. The course was really interesting and in excellent condition.

If this course is Bear’s Best I would like to see the Bears worst. Greens were like a mine field with all the ball marks/divots and the bunker were like concrete w/grit for sand. I guess this early in the year is rough golf for Las Vegas. Pace of play ok.

Fine test of golf. Great views of Vegas. Unfortunate part all the housing development around course. Granted they are multi million dollar homes. But to me it takes away from the course with so much housing nearby.
