Amara Golf & Social Club

The golf course is beautiful and challenging. Each hole is lined with spectacular homes and memorable views. We had a tough experience that was converted into a great customer service moment. Our cart ran out of juice on the 12th hole... which is a long par 5 uphill... and it was cold and drizzling. We called the clubhouse a couple times and the answering service could not get anyone live to help us. We turned around and luckily managed our way slowly downhill back to the clubhouse... sometimes with a push. We were frustrated, cold and wet. But thanks to a helpful cart girl, a nice bartender and Jose Rodriguez, Golf Professional, our bad experience quickly changed. They went out of their way apologizing for our unfortunate time. They helped us get warm drinks and offered a couple free rounds when we return to Las Vegas. We will definitely take them up on it, as I can’t wait to play this course again.

We teed off with a husband and wife; 35 minutes behind after 4; another man and woman were in a twosome behind us! Not sure why the starter didn’t pair the ladies with their men!! It caused us to quit after 5 holes! Too bad for us, but had to leave with my sanity!

I really enjoyed my round on Dec 22nd.

Greens, tees and fairways were in great shape. The bunkers however were quite difficult to hit from , as in not much top layer of sand and therefore very easy to skull it across the green, into another bunker or worse. Course starts with 2 of the most challenging holes, and then it is quite fair. Very scenic, particularly on the back nine, and many dream homes line the fairways. The cart girl was friendly, but we did not see her too often. Rentals were TM M2's and were in good condition

Players had to have received the email. This was not stated on n the email. Hope you change your policy next Christmas season. Not much a Merry spirit or spirit of giving

Great course and you can't beat the holiday rate. The only downside was the driving range was mats only.

I have played a lot of other Vegas courses and this didn’t compare to other courses for layout, scenery and conditions. The holes were almost all straight away and only 16 and 18 were memorable. The black sand was cool but other than that it was ok at best. Unless you can get it for under $50 I would say chimera or Lexington rate better. Especially the greens they were pretty beat up.

Excited to play this course but the bunkers, which are everywhere, were brutal. Not enough sand and couldn't blast out......would have been nice to know prior to the round and even better if they added sand so they played like actual greenside bunkers....paying $100 for this felt like a ripoff

Fun layout using Jack's favorite holes but combo of very cold weather and those bunkers, plus a lot of greens that weren't in great shape made for a tough round.

Took my son here for his first desert golf outing, the course was in very nice shape considering the time of year. There were a lot of people on the course but the pace was still okay, took us 4:20 to finish but waited on most shots.

Disappointing various bunker with no sand - rock hard, impossible to play from. Green less than average - pocked with holes filled in with sand. Course needs maintenance. Has seen better days.

Really enjoyed the course. Greens were tough and fast. Course was in excellent condition! Recommend this course to anyone visiting Vegas.

It was cold and wet, but we still loved the round! Beautiful everything and the staff went above and beyond! Can’t wait to go back again and booking for January 2018! A real players course that is a must!

The weather was too good this day and begged us to bail on work and kick off the holiday weekend at the GC. Upon arrival I was greeted and loaded up on a EZ-Go cart with GPS. Check-in was easy and the pro shop is loaded with a solid selection of logo merchandise.

The practice area is very convenient to the clubhouse and includes a nice short game area. Today the range was on grass and the range balls were decent. The putting green speed matched that of the course. The starter rounded us up and had us off the first tee right on time.

Conditions were top notch the setup was on point. The overseeded areas have grown in thick and extended a couple yards into the fairway rough. Beyond that, the bermuda rough beginning to go dormant but it is still somewhat thick and can create some sticky lies especially greenside. The bunkers had an adequate amount of sand. The greens were fairly soft and showed a lot of healing ballmarks, but the speed was medium fast and rolled for the most part.

The course was busy and the front nine pace reflected that at 2h20m, but it did pick up on the back finishing at 4h24m. We waited on most shots and were waited on.

We saw the beverage cart twice and everyone on the staff we encountered was friendly and cordial. The overall experience was solid.

Between the course and golf now, there was a mix up. Booked 2 for noon, showed up and the course had us as 1 player for 12:50. So we didn’t even get to play. The staff was very rude and said it was a golf now problem not Thiers. Tried getting a hold of golf now with no returned calls or emails. Very upset at how we were treated by the staff and that golf now has not responded to resolve the issue. So much for playing golf while on vacation.

This course was very challenging and scenic to play. Great day of golf!

Purchased a tee time for a twosome got to course only to find out only a single was booked. Purchased time of 12 but was told tee time was 12:50. Pro shop was totally useless but we could book another time the next day for 3 times the amount we already paid. If you treat golf now customers like second hand citizens why do you use the service? Our confirmation meant nothing
