Amara Golf & Social Club

In the Ridges - one of the most expensive communities in Summerlin. Course staff was told that the course will be open for another ~9 months, although this has been pushed back several times. Beautiful views into Red Rock Canyon as you are playing. Multiple mountain formations visible on the course.

Conditions were as good as you're going to get in Vegas for September at a course that does not close to overseed. There are obviously places that need more seed. Bunkers were everywhere - hole 17 had a huge bunker - but the sand was too watered down.

Challenging layout with holes designed after other Nicklaus courses. Really enjoyed the back 9. Hole 15 is a Par 3 with the strip as a backdrop. Fun par 4's with split fairways (hole 10), multiple doglegs with water on one side of the hole. You need to hit your driver long and straight, need to be accurate in your approach, and need to be able to putt with some large breaks. Pin positions today were tough.

Cart GPS was perfect - had the ability to order food at the turn ($$$), showed distance from all tees. Carts showed pace of play, slopes of greens. Bottled water was provided and there were refill stations on the course.

we have had Bears Best on our playing list for the past several years on our golf visit to Las Vegas. Sadly, we learned that they are closing soon and converting the course to a private club. Great course, great staff and we will truly miss playing here.

Repeat visit as last time we played the corse was very good. This time the state of the greens and fairways was very poor

Another great round at one of Las Vegas hidden gems. Bears Best has become one of our favorite courses to play and we were sad to learn that it is going private at the end of the year. The staff is awesome, and the course is always in good shape. We will miss it on our golf vacations to Vegas

Overall, I liked the course. What really needs improvement is the greens the fairways and the chipping areas around the greens. The greens were not in good condition and they were pretty slow. I liked the layout and the scenery around the course was beautiful. The houses along the fairways were beautiful, as well as the backdrop of the red rock Hills. The price was a good value, overall even with the bad conditions on the greens and some of the fairways.

Very disappointed. Conditions are like a muni course :( Greens and fairways are patchy and are not commiserate with $129 green fee.

Much better places to play…Paiute and boulder creek are in fantastic shape!!

KIM is one of the best!

KIM was very kind, gentleman and professional.

Layout was beautiful

However the shape of the course was way below average quality

10 of the 18 holes where very bad

Arrived at the course and was immediately greeted by staff and they took our clubs and put them on the carts. The carts included a towel and 4 bottles of water chilling in ice.

Went to the range to hit balls off a mat (grass was closed). There was also a chipping area and putting green.

The course was very challenging and beautiful. It was a little dry but considering its 100 degree in the summer it was expected. There was cold water stations thru the course to fill up your bottles.

Our tee time was 1130am but teed off at 1115am. There was no one in front of us or behind us. We took our time and finished in 4 hours 15mins.

I highly recommend playing Bear's Best! We will return and play again!!!

So disappointing and did not meet my expectations. Staff were friendly but the value I paid for the green fee not worth it. One of the worst golf courses I played in Las Vegas. Majority of the greens have dead patches, dead spots and some of the fairways are the same. Ridiculous! But I enjoyed the architecture of the houses built around the course. I'd rather spend my money @ Paiute Golf course or Aliante Golf course for a lower price..

Played here before, enjoyed the course. One of the greens on a par three in rough shape but overall considering the heat taking its toll on the course I thought it was in good condition.

This place used to be awesome now not so much. Greens roll like gravel roads and fairways patchy. Didn't even start on time. Maybe when they go private they will put more into it.

new ownership and the course conditions are a little bit rough in areas. It appears they're waiting to go to full private and then start putting some more money in the course.
