Good greens, meh fairways
The greens were in very good condition. Fairly fast and firm but would still hold a good approach. The fairways at FG are always late coming in due to the bermuda grass but they really haven't filled in well this year. I had a number of sketchy lies in the fairway. Rough was not too penal. The bunkers now have nice, soft white sand in them which is great. The problem is players not even attempting to rake them...not the courses fault. Come on people, we're better than that! I'll def play Forest Greens again.
Familiar Course is always Pretty Good
Course gets lots of play and it shows as many neglect raking bunkers and repairing ball marks and divots (typical of public golf in the DC area). They've removed water coolers from the course (due to reasons). Range balls were in good condition, hitting mats not so much.
Quality greens but terrible rough and fairways
Overall a decent track for the money. The greens ran true and smooth. Fairways and rough seemed to be patchy and a bit burnt.
Great early Sunday walk
FG is my go to course for an early morning weekend round as they let me walk every time without question.
This course has a lot of variety of holes
I’ve always liked the course layout, with a lot of elevation changes and doglegs. The greens are in very good shape. Fairways are Bermuda grass, and a little spotty on several holes, especially #17. Bunkers are decent. Pace of play was good also. Overall, it was a very nice afternoon of golf.

The course was in good shape pace of play was very slow because of a twosome. Wish fairways were as good as the tees.

Terrible course
The fairways barely have any grass on them, it’s so patchy, half the time you were were just hitting off dirt. This course needs some serious maintenance.
Lousy conditions
No where it was stated that they had aerated and therefore greens and skirt were really unplayable / then it was cart path only because of chemical spray - that should be posted somewhere before someone books course
Dreadful Fairways
Worst conditions I’ve seen at any course this season. Had to search the fairway for a spec of grass to put the ball on. Hard pan dirt all over the course. Around the green was better shape but course shouldn’t be charging full price. Terrible
Lovely day
I equate our day to one in a park. No homes in sight just plenty of woods and hills. Delightful!!
